Coventry couple Peter and Lesley return to Crete to review plans for the villa they built with their old friends Brian and Andrew, who moved into the home six months ago. However, a mistake over the date of their arrival leaves the visitors without a room

Pete and Les are upset to find their partners have let out their room to a German lodger with a taste for partying and turning their home into a small nightclub. Brian's plans for the house take up most of the architect's time - with a hydraulic picture window as the main bone of contention

Brian and Andrew receive a quote for the downstairs apartment, and when Pete and Les refuse to lend them the money, a new job as a cafe manager seems the ideal solution. But the staff don't know what to make of their latest addition

Brian books a holiday in a five-star hotel - despite the fact he and Andrew are already seeking financial help to get their building work under way

Brian and Andrew's holiday goes well until they have to pay the bill. On their return, they find the builders hard at work on the redesign - affording them no peace at all

Brian tries to ensure his talent contest is a success, but has difficulty finding willing contestants, and asks a local drag queen for help. In Wales, Pete and Les worry they are missing out on the chance to design their flat, and decide to fly to Crete to check up on progress
