For Valentine's Day, Carol decided to surprise Paul by getting her tubes tied so they don't have to worry about having another baby. However, Paul's gift to Carol is getting a vasectomy. However, when Barb drives Paul to the doctor to get the vasectomy, he chickens out and the two are having sex without birth control unknowing. After a test, Carol learns she's not pregnant.

Tom, the new neighbor moves in with his two kids. After first meeting with him, the mommies make their own assumptions about him. (Carol thinks he's a bigamist, Marilyn thinks he's a spy, and Barb thinks he's gay). After the husbands inform Tom the wives are gossiping about him, he decides to get back at them by making them think their assumptions are true.
