To celebrate the Richardsons' move to Hebden Bridge, Lucy decides to stage a huge birthday party for their daughter, Elsie. Jon is initially against the party, but is finally convinced to take part by a family friend.

Jon and Lucy are thinking of moving to London but are struggling to tell the neighbours. So, to break the bad news they take them away for a camping trip in Bridlington. Craig Charles is interested in buying the house.
