There are times, when all the world's asleep
The questions run too deep, for such a simple man
Won't you please, please tell me what we've learned
I know it sounds absurd, but please tell me who I am
Dilithium doesn't just create energy all by itself. It "channels" a matter-antimatter reaction into forms of energy used by warp engines and other devices, especially for a starship which needs huge amounts of energy in a rather small space, for propulsion. Since TNG also mentions fusion power plants etc, it could be argued that more mundane ship systems are powered from those, rather than the matter-antimatter system.
Correct. The heisenberg compensator put simply is a device that takes care of the Heisenberg uncertainty principle(which has to do with not knowing exactly where protons and neutrons within atoms are at any given moment )

Put even more simply, it's claptrap BS nonsense.
Now you are getting into the spirit of the show finallly Knix !!! 😁😁😁

Well I think they started off with it well, the Heisenberg Compensator was just something they made up to convince Holo-Moriarty to give up control of the ship. But then someone mis-heard it or something, and took it seriously, so it turned up again in Voyager and maybe DS9 too.
And also KNEW the LYRICS to every song they sang and had a WONDERFUL time singing along with them while they performed.
BUT the FACT still remains that QUANTUM CONSCIOUSNESS is also THE MAIN ISSUE, and it ALSO EXPLAINS how DAHJ and SOJI were CREATED.
And that's also what you keep insisting isn't POSSIBLE.
And one also keeps trying to EXPLAIN the reasons why it MIGHT BE.
But all you do is start singing a SUPERTRAMP SONG instead of ADMITTING that what you say isn't SO.
I can write stuff like "quantum consciousness" all day long, and all night too, but that doesn't mean it makes a lick of sense. I do sometimes get a kick out of people who think they need to point out to me that "it's all made up" and then go off the deep end on stuff like "quantum consciousness" which OF COURSE is DIFFERENT!
Eh the whole thing was just another writer screw-up anyway. They shouldn't have started acting like a Heisenberg Compensator was a real thing, to them.
Why for me? Like I said, it's something Geordi - I think it was, or maybe it was Riker - made up on the spot, as a way to convince Holo-Moriarty they could get him off the holodeck in physical form, while also sending a message to the "outside world" of what to do in order to convince him.
It would be like if Picard or Sisko or Janeway, etc, started acting like Corbomite was "a real thing". In THEIR universe.
Well I always kinda looked at the Corbomite as a smart allusion to Dr. stangelove's Doomsday device or the whole docterine of M.A.D. were it would be silly even savage for a society developed as that in Star Trek to even contemplate such a philosophy.Wonder if it was our savageness that sparked the curiosity of the aliens of the First Federation
Really? It seems to me that actually played out a couple times, including on TNG and DS9. "If you destroy us, we'll destroy you." It worked, and why wouldn't it work, given the Klingons, Romulans, etc? They obviously weren't interested in peace-for-peace's sake.

Although I would say that "beings" gives them too much credit.

It sounds like a de-randomizer which would be, by definition, impossible.
