Well it seems a bit odd that they don't have a date while they have the airdates of shows all the way to the later part of 2020.I guess filming the finale of season 3 for 33 days wasn't enough they are probably busy with adding the FX's or are they turning the 3rd season of STD into a Netflix movie ?(which also was a rumor)

Well if they keep up this pace season 3 will air more than a year after season 2 aired people will hardly remember what the previous seasons were about.

On top of maybe ten months or more between the end of Pic s1 and the start of s2.
In UK it's even worse. They sometimes went YEARS between "seasons" - maybe just 4 episodes! - of shows like Red Dwarf.
But if they make another 10 episodes of Picard after a wait of 5 years, Invidia will be all "See, I told you it would be more enduring than TOS which only lasted THREE years!"

A little Politics:
Also, gerrymandering has nothing to do with state-wide elections such as governor, senator, and ultimately even President.
Excuse me Professor Knixon, you realize that when YOUR race becomes the minority and it's voting power CAN be diluted in the manner that gerrymandering does to other minorities now, you understand that there will be people like US who will quote people like YOU as your kids' rights are steadily taken away. Your simplistic notion of elections doesn't take into account the realities of politics.
This is how it works: by cheating with 'gerrymandering' the Republicans gain more parliamentary seats than their population entitles them. They also gain the Speaker-ship in the House and work hand in glove with the Senate, which they currently have, to elect more and more Right wing doctrinaire-an judges, who continue to roll back the civil rights of these very same minorities they gerrymandered in the first place!. They also pass more and more repressive laws.
What the Right is trying to accomplish is "Minority Rule". They know they are losing the population race, so they are finding ways to "compensate". Hispanics and none whites have a higher birth rate than they do. So instead they seek to devalue the vote of more and more none whites. STEP ONE stop none white immigration, cold. STEP TWO make sure the Republican party is seen by most white people as the party FOR white people. Hence Trump's naked racism. While most white people may not be racist, they are QUITE COMFORTABLE having a racist President and having Racists in their midst....as long as they feel "protected" Step THREE dilute the none white vote as much as possible. Currently the electoral college works in their favor 2 million N Dakotans have the same Senatorial clout as 40 million Californians or 24 million New Yorkers: gerrymandering. STEP THREE Keep the Senate, or at least keep it close enough to ram thru the most extreme and YOUNG right wing judges. You know why Moscow Mitch left congress the first weekend of the COVID-19 crisis back in Feb? He was lobbying elderly Republican judges to retire so that Trump could name younger replacements for them NOW before Nov 3 after which Mitch thinks Trump will likely be out of office. STEP FOUR Miscegenation. Guys for Knixon and people like him, this is more than just a punch line! He doesn't like white girls sleeping with black guys. He doesn't like white guys sleeping white black girls either, but the latter is particularly bothersome to him. Why? Aside from the obvious, the resultant offspring will be viewed as and treated by the larger society as BLACK. You see in America today, white plus black = BLACK (Octroons or whatever they are called in New Orleans) Do you guys understand why for Knixon EVERY conversation on a movie site HAS to lead to a VIRULENT anti-progressive POLITICAL discussion? Do you understand now why a Black Heroine plus an Asian Heroine on a ST show is an HERESY for these people? Do you understand now why they MUST criticize even WHITE MEN whose outlook on life are NOT aligned with theirs (Kurtzman and Patrick Stewart)
The well funded revolt against ST and Kurtzman is neither coincidental nor accidental. I'm not saying Knixon and Nexus are on the payroll...at this point I think they will do it FOR THE CAUSE. ( hidden under banner of fighting Social Justice Warriors, of course) Just as the conspiracy of economic behemoths such as Facebook with the current Right Wing idiot in the White House, to allow BLATANT LIES, is part of the strategy. When Knixon says confidently, "whoever you vote for will lose" it's not because he is a fortune teller, it's because he knows their side FULLY intends on CHEATING. They KNOW THEY can not win without cheating! So gerrymandering? Prof Knixon says "ha,ha, that has NOTHING to do with Senatorial or Presidential elections"..."nothing to see here...move along now"
So Knixon my friend, those of us on the other side will keep your words and use them to refute the arguments YOUR kids will have, when the shoe gets on the other foot, because it WILL. You are only making things worse by your blatant dishonesty. Don't worry, we won't forget!

I am not on anybody's pay roll that's why they call it fandom.Unlike most of these so called "journalists and critics"in the entertainment industry that so desperately want to get absolution and want us to forget that they knew about people like Weinstein,Spacey and other perverts for a long while and did nothing about them.So they now all jump on the #metoo and Time's up and other woke causes bandwagon so they can look moral and virtuous. The Sheer Fucking Hypocrisy.

Among other things.

Well I also wonder sometimes why people who seem to think "minority takeover" of the US will somehow end up with different results than other countries around the world that have been controlled by similar groups for generations. I see a lot of basket cases, not a lot of success stories.

I think that most people would rather have some democracy even though it has it's faults than no democracy at all ask that to the people of North Korea .

Yes but I don't know what the goal or expectation is. If, say, lots of people think the US is a terrible oligarchy, a questionable assertion at best, is the solution to have a majority-Latino population turning the US into another Mexico which definitely is an oligarchy that people keep leaving by any means necessary?

Maybe getting rid of the district system would help just have the principle one man/woman one vote.

Then you get basically New York and California deciding how the whole country works. Nobody except New York and California wants that. And even New York and California are only like that in the strips of ultra-liberalism along the coasts. If you look at the overall distribution of presidential voting in 2016 by district, you see a whole lot of red (conservative/republican) with basically just a few edges of blue (liberal/democrat) along the coasts. And there was someone in the local paper recently writing that it should all just be popular vote. That person happened to be a liberal in a smaller town with a somewhat limited water supply, and my response was that if that happened, one of the first things the "majority' in California would vote for, would be to take away that small town's water and send it to California.
The "pure democracy" that some people want - or at least claim to want, up until something happens they don't like - is basically just "mob rule," aka "two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for breakfast."

Well we don't have a distric system and our elections are governed by the principle of the popular vote and that so far has worked out fine also we have more then two parties so maybe that will help if other parties than just Democrats or Republicans would have a significant voice and maybe that would be promote the forming of new and other parties.
