Just wondering because his version of 7 of 9 is way off

Well the arguments there were laced with more colorful metaphores

See, you just proved that you really don't know that much about voting. In particular, about "gerrymanderinger" and what it does. And what it DOESN'T do. But there are other problems too. I'm thankful every day that I went into a rational, logical field like computer science, not something that gives me the idea that I know things that I don't. Such as that fictional characters written by other people don't actually exist, and what they "say" doesn't represent reality. Pointing to a transcript or whatever of them "saying" something, doesn't give it any more validity. It's only what some writer thought might be cool or whatever, and might not even be what the WRITER actually thinks. (In the cases of Discovery and Picard, I certainly hope that's the case, but sadly, it probably isn't.)

Why did this become an argument about US politics??

I don't talk about Star Trek TOS or the others, the same way Invidia talks about Discovery and Picard. Hopefully any outsider can see that. (Maybe unless they also have a literature degree...)
Also, gerrymandering has nothing to do with state-wide elections such as governor, senator, and ultimately even President. Anyone who doesn't know that - and say it without having to be prompted like I just have - should have their As in Political Science revoked. "Voting Doesn't Matter Because Gerrymandering" is a D at best.
But as with many other subjects in "education" these days, I suspect it's been some time since "political science" actually taught reality.
And that's leaving aside that someone with a degree in literature should also know things like that A's is not proper.

Don't know don't ask me maybe because someone thinks that all that don't like Picard are Trump supporters.Which gives us a kind of strange paradox since it would be in the best interest of these Star Trek fans that he gets re-elected since that would result in the story writing for Star Trek they seem to like.

Well that just shows how stupid that argument is I can't stand the orange buffoon and still think Picard was for simpletons what does that make me lol a want to be? haha

I share the same sentiment.I actually checked the sites of both Netflix and Amazon Prime in the Netherlands and neither STP and STD are in the top 50 of most watched shows on both streaming services while TNG is in the top 50 of Netflix (and Star Trek only became available on Netflix after the deal with CBS so more people prefer to watch a 33 years old Trek show over the newest Trek show)

30 years from now, nobody will be watching PIC or DSC, but I'm sure people will still be watching TNG.
