So whats your predictions for the season finale episode 8?
We have the Mando and friends cornered off in a stand off and Gus Fring shows up as the big bad guy, Baby Yoda is kidnapped, that is our cliff hanger.
So how do you see episode 8 going?

I agree, the poison of woke identity politics has, sadly, made its way into all aspects of the culture. Although I have to admit, I can't ever recall "demanding" that The Mandalorian feature a strong female character - but then I don't remember demanding The Mandalorian exist either so, whatever. But I'm pretty sure I do remember strong female action characters existing before now - Ellen Ripley, Sarah Connor, Xena, Buffy etc. - but maybe I'm just making them up.
Upon some reflection I do recall the smithy saying to Mando something like "Until you find the baby's homeworld/people you're obligated to be its parent." Paraphrasing of course - but I'm beginning to think what Mando meant when he said "I've got more pressing matters" in response to returning to the Bounty Hunter guild is he's got to find baby Yoda's homeworld/people. So I think that (along with getting the Darksaber off Moff Gideon) will be his main objectives for season two and we'll see less of Navarro and its inhabitants.

And yet, here you are.
As for the Ripleys, Connors, et. al, you are not making them up. There has always been one or two or a few spread out here and there...the-exception-instead-of-the-'new'-norm. So few that probably all of them could be listed in one sentence. In contrast, fast--forward to the present where it would probably "take a book" to note them all .
As for the show, yes I expect it to focus some on Mando finding the kid’s tribe. And as a result of that search, I expect Mando will have some kid-related exploits. But, also, unrelated to that search, I expect Mando will have some non-kid-related exploits of his own along the way. Just saying don’t think it will be—has to be either/or.

But the very KEY THING is this........EVERYONE loves Baby Yoda! They all think its cute as hell and it is. But its the fact that Baby Yoda won over the masses and casual fans that Mando was solidified as a big hit.
If Baby Yoda was not in Mando, the success of the show probably would not be as big as it is.

Yeah and Yeah.
Of course, there is no way to know what the show’s impact would have been without Baby Yoda; but I feel the same way…that his popularity is a major contributor to the success of the show.
For me, Baby Yoda being the "Big Reveal" at the end of E1 was definitely a (to paraphrase) Luke, I am your father moment. From that point on I knew I was in for the long haul.

Don't think it's the "Baby" part that locked-in fans...think it's the "Yoda" part. After all he is 50-something? years old.
