Item: ヴァイオレット・エヴァーガーデン
Language: en-US
Type of Problem: Incorrect_content
Extra Details: Why are there no proper episode names in English? I can see them everywhere I look(IMDb, MAL, the Violet Evergarden fandom website) except here. I saw a similar complaint about this but apparently the mod thought it’s a good idea to use the Netflix’ “names” as the original names instead of from the Blu-ray. Obviously Netflix does this all the time cause they’re lazy and not because of some artistic intent or something like that, no? Can someone fix this, or at least let me do it myself, cause it’s really disturbing to feel like I’m watching Netflix while enjoying such an amazing anime.

The KING is the original English broadcast which was done by Netflix and where the episodes didn't have a title except the episode number.

And why exactly do you have to strictly follow this “original” by Netflix again? What about the Blu-ray version? What’s wrong with adding data that was missing from the “original” from somewhere else? I believe the whole point of this database is to be used for media collection, not to be referenced anyway. And as I mentioned before, if you don’t mind, could you explain to me why this is the only place with this issue?

We should always follow the original release. This is the basic rule of our site.
Each site has its own set of rules.

And what exactly are you achieving by doing that? How does that justify the absence of proper episode names that affects the watching experience of everyone who uses this database for their media? There isn’t even any data for the Blu-ray, would you add that then? Judging by your responses here and what you’ve said in other discussions, you don’t seem to care much. And by the way, isn’t this database a user-contributed one? Yet, the episode names are locked, and are you the only one with a say in this or what? Also, each site having its own set of rules doesn’t explain why only this site does this.
