I know it's only had 2 episodes but it was pretty good. Better than I thought it would be. I rolled my eyes when I heard there was another Marvel property coming to TV but so far they've proved me wrong. Curious to see where this story goes, I just don't want them to water it down too much.

I'd say the first episode was almost perfect, but the 2nd one has already fallen into mediocrity imho. It's pretty clear to me the budget is simply not there.

Ya, the first episode was great. I would agree the second episode was weaker than the first. I just read that season one is only 10 episodes and if that's true that's the best news I've heard. They can keep the story tight and focused. No filler.

Let's hope they can avoid too much drama.

I really felt that that 2nd episode was much weaker than the first. The first was excellent, but this one... just felt like they wanted to have a dumb mom moment and for (i forgot her name ) to make a portal that could fit a whole suv and set up another unnecessary love triangle..

...and there have been way too many of those= dumb as s mom.

The daughter really reminds of Claire Bennet from Heroes.

I think that was purposefully done. How many people want to focus on a scrawny lookin kid with baggy sweatshirt when you can look at a young blonde with tight clothing. A minor, im well aware before you call me a perv, just hollywood being hollywood and type casting...

@XHannibalX , It's not a bad thing that she resembles Claire, and the boy "the scrawny lookin kid" both just kids.

...but since you mentioned type casting- all of the mutant guys are fire

I've enjoyed pretty much everything Marvel has done, minus Agents of SHIELD. Hate that crap. Watched the first season, the stories were some of the worst, most repetitive drivel I've ever seen. Low production values. Bad acting. Only using character we've never heard about, or don't care about. So far, I'm enjoying The Gifted.

Lol as a guy, i dont think so. But yes, the male characters all tend to fit a certain build.

Its unfortunate. Would be great to see some more of the mutants whos physique and appearance changed with mutation, similar to that of the woman in the prison.

Hollywood needs to stop sexually objectifying men.

I agree. I managed to get through the first 3 episodes of season 1 of Agents of SHIELD, thought it was boring and gave it up. People tell me it's great now, but once I've given up watching a series I just can never go back. How do you like Marvel's Inhumans?

This show is horribly directed, but it has a few things going for it. I thought the third episode was an improvement from the second. Hope it improves further.

I actually thought that the first episode was weak; full of trite characterizations and flat out bad directing. It wasn't until ep 2 that I decided to watch the whole season. This brings me to a realization: I don't like Brian Singer anymore. There were many movies directed by him that I loved (Usual Suspects, X1&2, Apt Pupil, Valkyrie) but since Valkyrie, I have really disliked his work (not to mention that rotten Superman movie just before it). So Singer's directing was gain evident in all of its current lack luster state in that 1st episode. I nearly didn't watch another.

@ScorpionQ2 - Agents of Shield does indeed get better. By the last few episodes of the first season, it evolves into a show that fluctuates in the 7/10 to 9/10 range. If you like capeshit then I recommend revisiting the show. Not always great but in the wasteland of television, it has worth. Absolutely better than any CW cape show but not as good as Legion.

Eh, it's ok. I kinda liked a few of the episodes, but I can't see it lasting too long. Shame because the X-Men universe has always been my favorite Marvel franchise.

Bryan Singer really messed up with X-Men: Apocalypse. That was worse than The Last Stand.
