Gark has ordered a wormhole but Max jumps into it in order to avoid Anton the dog and Gark follows. As they float through space (with Max as a giant head) he swaps his powers for a bravery module to make Max be brave when he gets back to Earth.

Staring Dog comes to stay in the apartment while Wilma is away. Max however is terrified of him because he stares at nobody but him.

Gark meets a scabby, one-armed, tatty-eared street cat, who befriends him to get back at Max.

Max explains to Gark about how mean Santa is because he never got the toy he asked for.

Max is doing everything in his power to avoid Betty, who is trying to put him into his cat box.

Gark feels left out when he realizes everyone else dreams.

Gark appreciates Max's unique brand of training but desperately wishes Max would teach him how to tackle the big stuff.
