How to consider the specials

Hello,
as usually I'm wondering if the specials from the franchise "walking dead" have to be specials of the main series, or series apart. Until now, only "Althea tapes" was deleted from Fear's special episodes list and put as an indipendent series. "Dead in the water" was present both as indipendent and as specials.
From my point of view it could be correct both ways, but I think it needs to decide one way only and adopt for all as a kind of rule site.
What do you think about?

Well, checking on amc site, Dead in the water is considered as a real spin-off serie, so it is right to keep it as a serie apart but it needs to delete the specials from fear the walking dead.
But it is also real that the other two webisodes, flight 462 and passage, it is not in the AMC official page of "Fear ..." ... so I'll wait for your sentence.
