My gut feeling, know in TV, is she is not. She managed to escape whatever lit the whole place on fire (that was curious as I do not recall at any time anyone spreading an accelerator.. unless the fertilizer they used was one. As a matter of fact I think fertilizer is.). She could have evaded the dead as they were distracted by the sound of the fire and made her way out a back exit she didn't find before. You you, an old Chapter Play from the old movie days escape.
