This season feels like a reset of the Fear the Walking Dead series, which it sort of feels like. They still have not given any explanation as to how they came back together after the Bridge was destroyed and they sort of made the Biker villains expendable after building them up last season. I am not sure what Frank saw in the script, whatever it was, it caused Frank to leave the series which makes think that did slight reboot and he did not like the direction the series was taking.

What's good is tonight, they went more into John's character, adding depth to him. Good stuff -- for awhile, I just saw Al and him as sort of shallow characters: her with a simple behavior, interviewing people, and him as a cowboy cliché.
Moving off point a bit, tonight was probably the first time ever that the walkers/infected on FTWD were actually a bit scary. Usually, they're dispatched too easily (Alicia can "kill" one with a single blow to the head, yeah, right), and just don't unsettle me. The pack that showed up outside Dorie's house late that night were at least creepy. Great episode, all in all.

Agreed. It was a good episode, usually I don't like it when they side track like this and provide back story. I know I've actually hated it a time or two on TWD...but last night's show was perfect. I think it's because I REALLY like John so it was kind of cool learning more about him.

Agree. Great backstory for John and for Laura.

That happened over a year ago. They had a time warp to catch up to TWD in order to infuse Morgan. As for Nick leaving because of a future happening, I don't think that the cast gets to see that far in advance. Some people don't know they die until the day of the shoot.
