I liked it, too. It was smart how they made Proctor John a dimensional character right from the start. And with all of these good elements at work, why resolve much of anything? They didn't do much more than sustain stuff for season 4.

That was a kick ass season finale! OMG! 😎👍👏👊

The writers really delivered from beginning to end on this one.

I have work tomorrow so I am bummed that I can't stay up tonight to discuss this season's ending. But you can bet your ass I'll be back tomorrow! 😉

Yes he is! But Strand loves that family...Madison, Nick, Alicia. It pained him to have Nick sacrificed. He desperately wanted them all to live.

You could see the agony and desperation on his face.

i agree, strand does like madison. they have a connection. it should be interesting when daniel and strand meet up.

They killed off Nick?!!

I think Daniel will attempt to kill Strand on site.

Strand has yet to kill anyone. He is not a killer and was relieved when he saw Daniel was still alive.

@rarebreed: I'm not entirely sure if Nick is dead. Daniel connected up with him on the damn platform and Daniel looked determined to get the hell outta there...with Nick in tow.

I'm pretty sure Nick isn't dead just because of Daniel. I really liked this season and the finale was very good. Alicia demanding to separate from family seemed to be odd and forced. That was the only major complaint I had about this season. I actually like the dynamics in Fear than in walking dead. It has more of an edge to it.

it was a great season. if you told me before the season started that i would be rooting for nick, i would have called you a liar. i’m hoping daniel got nick to safety.

Agree. One thing I like about the show it that the characters are very multi-dimensional. Every character has a flaw/questionable action.

Nick is the only reason I would watch this show. I hope he doesn't die. They already killed Travis. I was so upset about that. I really liked him.

I really liked this season. Much improved! The finale was great!

I used to hate Nick but now he stands with my favorites Daniel and Strand. I don't think they killed him. I don't think they killed anyone. They might have Daniel bite it in the season opener but the Clarks + Strand will live on IMHO. I didn't like any of the primaries on either side of this season's conflict but by season's conclusion, I had come to like Taqa and even have an appreciation for Troy.

They should not have killed Troy. It felt like his redemption arc had begun and it would have been interesting to see them try to make such a POS into a likable character. His best quality was that Nick liked him. That fact seemed to make Troy want to be better. The way they were correcting his racist ass was funny and seemed to be the beginning of his training to be a decent human being for a change. A bad guy working against his own psychosis in their midst is interesting. A wasted opportunity for future conflict. Can't say he didn't have it coming though.

@Horus Mazinga: Troy definitely had it coming. But I will miss him.

I disagree about him and redemption. Troy was never going to change. He just knew how to put shit on pause. The fact that he told Madison that he would lead the herd to the ranch all over again if he had to do it all over is why he got hammered.

i don’t think troy would change either. he was a psychopath, nothing was going to change that. i do wish they kept him another season and gave him a better send off. it was too quick.

Oh shit. I must have missed that. Oh well. They shouldn't have shown Troy and Nick getting all buddy at the market if they weren't going to try to change his character. Truth is, Madison should have killed him when he was exiled. Indirectly that makes Madison responsible for the destruction of the ranch and thus Ofilia's death. Not killing Troy on those many opportunities turned out to just be a means of pushing the story they had in mind. If he was just a writer's tool then why give him a last minute, pre-death character development? Even though I thought it was way premature, Madison killing him with a hammer was pretty satisfying.

Could he have changed? A psycho like that? Probably not but it would have been interesting to see them give it a try. Maybe show after a certain amount of progress he still does messed up s**t and then they put him down like a dog.
