Like every year, 20 of the best police academy recruits are admitted to PET's elite training selection process. The hero's father Drazen Catic, a traumatized Bosnian refugee, fails to attend the funeral, which worries the brass. Morten Nyholm, whose wife is high-pregnant again, and Jasmina, are sent to Islamabad in advance of the Danish foreign minister's visit, Jonas and Rasmus are ordered to guard Preben Pedersen, the cartoonist who offended Muslims by portraying the Prophet.

A Taliban bomb explodes in the hotel in Islamabad where Morten Nyholm and Jasmine are staying. Jonas and Rasmus are bored babysitting the depressed cartoonist Preben Pedersen.

Jonas gets a phone call from Robin Tim, a Danish ex-policeman who is involved in criminal activities in Congo and is imprisoned there because he killed a cop. Robin tells Jonas about plans for an assassination at the upcoming Climate Conference in Denmark. Benedikte appoints the incompetent and weak Palle Rud as Leon's second-in-command.

Leon and Jonas return home after they prevailed over the Congolese criminal gang, guarding the corpse of Robin Tim, which contains priceless diamonds.
