You were right on the money. I couldn't see it because that meant Barry had to be the one to kill Iris. This means Barry traveled back in time to kill the one person who made him the happiest. That's some serious self-destructive behavior.

Can't wait to hear the convoluted explanation. Savitar was created because Savitar went back in time and killed Iris. HUH?

I'm sure savitar is going to be caused by flashpoint, they will have some convoluted explanation as you so eloquently put it.

Barry went back in time just to screw with himself. I think we all like a bit of self torture, but this is too much.

I can only imagine that Iris upset Barry so badly in the future that he went back into time and killed her so he wouldn't have to deal with her anymore.

If Savitar wants to kill Iris then why not just get it over with. Why wait till the date that they saw in the future. Savitar is in the present now and could easily kill Iris especially since present Barry knows that Savitar is future Barry. Barry could just kill himself now and save Iris.
