Damon Lindelof is in talks with HBO about developing a series based on the Watchmen comics.

Based on this show, I'd check out any show with his name attached. (S3 didn't exactly knock-my-socks-off; but I attributed that more to the story having to be abbreviated than to the quality of the writing.)
