Beverly gets Adam out of the Presidential Physical fitness test; Erica's pen pal visits and Barry tries to impress her.

When Murray's high school free throw record is broken, he attends a banquet as the guest of honor; Barry decides to throw a party.

Erica makes a music video to get into college, while Murray and Bill's friendship grows.

Beverly and Murray move Erica into college where her roommate is also named Erica. Later, Beverly has a hard time letting go and ends up sleeping over in the dorm, much to Erica’s dismay. Meanwhile, Adam tries to give Barry the perfect girlfriend, even trying to build one like in the movie “Weird Science,” as he embarks into his senior year.

When Beverly gets a glimpse into a soon-to-be empty nest, she replaces her kids with the Mellor brothers, nursing Coach Mellor back to health after falling off the rope climb. Meanwhile, Erica and her college roommate get on each other’s nerves in their dorm room, especially when Valley Erica puts a scrunchie on the door and kicks Erica out.

Murray becomes an overzealous stage parent when he learns Adam has no interest in the school production of “Fiddler on the Roof.” Meanwhile, Beverly can’t seem to keep from interfering with Erica’s latest career plan.

Adam’s obsession with toys is cause for concern for Beverly and Murray, and they try to distract him with a new hobby. Meanwhile, the Dropouts’ decide to audition for “Star Search,” but their egos threaten the band’s future.

Having become obsessed with game shows since leaving college, Erica tries out for “Jeopardy!” Meanwhile, a new crush for Barry comes to light, prompting him to realize he might not be over Lainey.

Beverly insists the family take a road trip to go on vacation to Disneyland before Erica and Barry go off to college; Erica worries about her relationship with Geoff when he tells her they need to talk.

While throwing a telethon at their college to raise money for Earth Day, Barry attempts to woo Ren when he overpromises he can get Hall & Oates to perform. Meanwhile, Beverly attempts to set Bill up, but things go awry when he finds happiness with a woman he meets through Beverly's enemy

Adam and Brea's relationship is going well until Beverly's over-involvement causes them to fake a breakup. Meanwhile, Lainey is back in Jenkintown which throws Barry for a loop regarding his blossoming relationship with Ren.

Adam and Brea decide to go to prom together, but when Adam worries he won't be Prom King, Beverly's actions jeopardize the event. Meanwhile, Barry teaches Erica how to be compassionate and caring when Geoff's dad is in the hospital.

Bill is getting married and Beverly and Jane have only 24 hours to plan it. Meanwhile, a fortune teller at the wedding reception could change the future for Adam, Erica and Barry's romantic life.

Geoff shares with the JTP that he is planning on asking Erica to marry him and gives them the engagement ring for safekeeping. Like any good romantic comedy, several miscommunications and misunderstandings between Geoff and Erica’s friends and family result in a potential derailing of the proposal, forcing Adam to step in to keep the couple’s special moment alive.

It's Thanksgiving, and no one crushes Turkey Day like Beverly Goldberg; though, with the loss of Murray, this holiday feels a bit different. Geoff and Erica are stressed over the new baby; and, even more worrisome, an unexpected Goldberg relative arrives. With everyone highly suspicious of this unforeseen visitor, things are likely to go off the rails at any moment.
