I'm consoling myself by believing that Dutch never went there, and therefore she didn't really know and was only assuming he hadn't after seeing other vamps . And that Eph had never told her what he'd seen when he was patching Quinlan up.

Also, on various photos of Quinlan there def seems to be something going on in the trouser department, and I don't think its where he keeps his ammo!! (yeah ok, it probably cost too much to digitally remove RPJs manhood from photos but its wot I wanna believe )

On another topic. It pained me when Quinlan died. I know that he could never exist in a world without strigoi...but I really wanted him to live.

Agree 100% that Dutch wouldn't know. They clearly threw that one liner in to troll their fan base.

If they can give him a bald head, literally hours of makeup, white skin, grey eyes, vampire teeth, FREAKING NECK SWIRLS, then hiding his junk wouldn't be that hard. This is hollywood/tv, if they wanted that to be a part of the story, then they would have hidden it (looser pants, asked him to tuck it, etc).

Just sayin' ... The excuse that "it's just the actor" doesn't fly on a show that specializes in special effects.

Yeah, he's actually GOTTA be fully intact according to his very own backstory.

Canonically, he took a wife and adopted a daughter AND owned land in Ancient Rome. All three of those things are against Roman Law for "Non Intact" Eunuchs.

I doubt that anyone in their right minds would have challenged Quinlan on his manhood in ancient Rome. He never fathered any children. So, him being intact is still debatable.

For my own peace of mind...I am sticking with him having his pipes...and functional. 😉

He was a Gladiator. Gladiators had NO privacy at all. In fact, slaves were generally stripped when sold as well. In the books, he was made a gladiator when he was no more than 13 or so. It wasn't about being 'challenged'. It was about the customs and the society and how slaves and gladiators were treated. They were NOT given privacy when bathing either. If he was a eunuch, he would not have been allowed into leadership position in the military, as is also canon.

Also, togas and gladiator outfits were hardly concealing.

If he had been caught by the Romans when he was 13 and he didn't have any obvious sign of manhood, wouldn't they have classified him as female? I doubt they would have bothered doing a more detailed examination on a mere slave. So, as far as I'm concerned.........he's all man.

@olliethecat I don't think so. There would be nothing down there to determine male or female. At least that's how I think it is.

The Romans simply would.have put him down as a result of pure ignorance.
