The first 62 episodes were aired on Fuji TV in 2001. But later, the rest 3 seasons are publised as DVD. The plot continues until Gon leaves Greed Island and meets his father
The duplicate episodes in season 1 have been removed. All the episodes after episode 62 are found in the specials, and there is an episode group available.

Is there any reason not to add those 30 episodes to new seasons? I have seen other platforms (such as trakt, tvdb) show that this show has 4 seasons, which is consistent with my memory. And some TV stations that are still re-showing also divided it into 4 seasons. The content of the last 30 episodes is completely consistent with the previous 62, forming a complete story. So I suggest that we can move the last 30 episodes out of specials and set them as independent seasons. Also the episode group is kind of unfriendly with API users.

They were released directly to DVD and not broadcasted on TV.

The episode groups are perfectly available via the API.

Yes I know. But this show has not only been broadcast on Fuji TV. In the past two decades, it has been re-broadcast repeatedly, and the last 30 episodes have also appeared on TV and even streaming media in the form of separated seasons (as for whether the air dates are really divided by "seasons", I am not sure), so I think it was unfair to treat them according to circumstances 20 years ago.

Most of the time specials are insignificant Easter eggs or holiday short cut. Therefore, my users and I will deliberately ignore those specials to ensure that a large amount of unimportant content does not interfere. I haven't used these APIs for a while, but as far as I know, some shows have episode groups, and some don't. Therefore, for some special TV like this one, I have to write some special patches to read the episodes information from the episode groups instead of regular seasons. This consumes energy and makes the program inconvenient to maintain.
In short, I am a big fan of Hunter x Hunter, and I am very grateful for your maintenance of tmdb. If you think the current situation is the optimal solution, then I will accept this settings. Although I think the last 30 episodes are part of WHOLE story with coherent plots, they should not be treated differently.

We always list the shows based on their original broadcast.
