She also delves deeper into the 60s and 70s of the last century to find out how this Anatolian psychedelic rock and pop came about. With bands like Mogollar and Kurtalan Express, who formed the basis of this music movement.

Protest, resistance and oppression run like a common thread through Turkish history and this can be heard in the music. Artists, then and now, resist injustice and oppression with their music.
