When Jodi's cooking gives five young men food poisoning, the women of Drovers must convince the Killarney men to put on a strip show. At the same time, Claire and Alex's business partnership gets off to a rocky start, whilst Nick and Tess form a partnership of their own.

Professional thieves clean out both Drover's Run and Wilgul, exposing some of the fault lines in the women's relationships.

They compete neck and neck and slowly Becky is won over by his persistence and charm and the old spark between them returns. Claire's death has everyone is dealing with it in their own way. Tess tries to keep her emotions in check, unable to deal with her grief and burdened by survivor's guilt. A surprise visitor at Drovers Run helps Tess when she needs it most.

Tess and Stevie continue to clash this week, and all the competitive ill-fellings come to the surface when a private investigator turns up at Drover's Run.

Tess accepts Stevie's explanations at first (something about witnessing a rodeo accident up north), but gets suspicious again when Stevie is caught packing her bags. Still refusing to reveal the truth, she offers her resignation and Tess accepts with more than a little relief.

As Stevie loads up her car, Jodi, Meg and Tess discover little Charlotte has been bitten by a redback spider. Fearing for Charlotte's life, Tess accepts a ride from Stevie to the hospital, but it turns out to be far from a straightforward trip.

With the private investigator in hot pursuit, things get worse when Charlotte has a heat-induced fit. It looks like they are not going to make it to the hospital in time so Stevie steals a plane to speed the trip up.

Luke gambles his and Jodi's holiday money in a bet on the drag race and when he is injured, she is forced to drive in his place. Will Meg's worries be justified?

The passionate, stubborn side of Dave is exposed when he stumbles across an injured horse and believes he has found a descendent, a Waler, of the first settlement horses. Jodi is torn between her job and preventing Luke from taking dangerous risks and ruining his future. Meg and Terry realise they've been too busy embracing change to give their old relationship time. Sally ends up in hospital with a blood clot on the lungs.

Harry is secretly thrilled when he hears Sandra is back in town, however their initial meeting doesn't go well with neither capable of confessing their love to each other. Even though Harry seeks advice from Tess, and Sandra from Nick, it's openly a war of the roses, and Sandra's last-ditch attempt to get a response from Harry backfires. Kate tries to convince Stevie to reinstate Jodi, whom she fired the previous week. Stevie won't budge unless Jodi admits she's wrong, and Jodi won't return unless Stevie asks her. Nick learns what it's like to be a single father, juggling bottles, nappies, baby, and work. With some loving advice from Tess, he accepts the chaos and learns to enjoy time with his son.

When a long lost lover re-enters Stevie's life, she mistakenly believes that for once, her choice in men was a good one.

After a pregnancy scare, Tess offers Jodi half her share of Drovers. Meanwhile, Jodi fights for the respect of the local farmers; Harry begins receiving death threats; Leo returns to town to make an offer to Stevie.

After Harry's death, Alex learns the true story about Harry's life. Meanwhile, Stevie admits to Alex that the argued with Harry the morning he died; Kate & Regan are forced to work together when they must deal with a lead poisoning mystery.

While desperately trying to resist Heath, Grace questions her future on Drovers when she learns her best friend has died. Meanwhile, Patrick suffers a life-threatening reaction after being bitten by a lizard; Marcus and Heath clash over livestock; Moira sets herself up as a competitor with Phil's truck stop.

Heath proposes to Grace, at the same time that Ashleigh forces Grace to sell her heritage. Meanwhile, when Patrick's heart is broken by Ashleigh, Tayler steps in to pick up the pieces.

On Christmas Eve, Alex returns home from Argentina to surprise Stevie. Meanwhile, tragedy strikes when Patrick, Tayler, Grace and Riley are all involved in a car accident at a flooded river.

Jaz is surprised to find out from Lily that her dad, Frank, is planning to propose to her, and Jaz needs to decide how to deal with the situation. Meanwhile, the minister working with the dam comes to visit and Frank lets his unstable side surface.
