An assassination attempt on the sisters' lives forces Prue to go undercover as the woman who tried to kill them, known as Ms. Hellfire. While undercover, she becomes romantically involved with the man who hired the original Ms. Hellfire.

After Prue's former crush, Bane, is broken out of jail, he seeks her help for defeating a powerful demon by... kidnapping her. Meanwhile, Phoebe tries to help Piper choose between Dan and Leo by casting a spell, but the results are rather unexpected.
