So I have not seen much about Twin Peaks until recently. It has come up as recommended a few times before and I'm finally giving it a try. I have watched through S1E7. There are many things I like about the show. I'm intrigued by many of the characters, especially Agent Cooper. It started out as a simple small town crime drama but soon turned a bit surreal. I was ok with the weird vibes and "strange-ness" of it all. My biggest complaint is that it now seems to be playing out like a soap opera. The overly interconnected characters and twists seem so outlandish. It seems every single character has a huge secret. Now, I am not extremely familiar with Lynch but I do know of his reputation. I realized Twin Peaks would probably not be like most shows.
Now... my question for you Twin Peakers and Lynchians: Do you think I will keep enjoying if I keep watching? Did any of you feel similar about this far through and got past it or appreciated it after time? I like the basic plot, I'm ok with the surrealism, and I really want to know who killed Laura Palmer, I'm just getting turned off by the melodramatic soap-opera it's starting to embody.

That cheesy soap opera feel is deliberate and only increases as the series progresses - if that bothers you, I wouldn't bother continuing.
Also, fair warning, I would ignore any advice Invidiot has to offer. Her bizarre analyses and theories are almost always completely off the mark.

As per usual, Invidia's total lack of reading comprehension lead her to babble on about episode 8 of season 3, not 1 (which you were referring to).
The first two seasons of TP are basically a separate show from season 3/The Return, and are very different in tone and barely connected to it, and as AP mentioned, have a very distinctive "deliberate, cheesy soap opera" vibe about them.

I have to concur, try looking at the soap opera side of things in an ironic way. It's in my top 5 all time greatest shows, I'd never tell anyone to stop watching it so at least see season 1 out as you've almost finished it.

LOL at you editing in "of the NEWER 2017 VERSION of the show" above your declared edit, to make it look like you knew that he was talking about season 1 and not 3, when clearly you didn't.
I have seen you edit your posts after someone replies, in the past, on other boards, then lie and deny doing it, and I knew you would do it again when I read Radio's post, so...
Here's your original post : https://i.imgur.com/f0wznlF.jpg

Also, it is quite clear that the DVD case in Lynch's tweet says "THE THIRD SEASON". Perhaps you need glasses?
A separate board is not required just because you don't know how to read, nor are any more of your meltdowns about it, like you had on the support board. Even the owner of this site told you to "dial it down" and said " don't know what you're talking about", and one of the mods says she has you on ignore.

I think it's pretty clear to all but yourself as to why people would take a look at these discussion boards and then look elsewhere.

@Invidia
LOL, I'm not wading through all that unreadable gibberish you vomited up, but you seem to speak with a lot of authority and have a lot of opinions for someone who HASN'T EVEN WATCHED THE SHOW !
You, constantly spamming boards with your nonsense and lies, is what actually drives people away.
Still LMAO @ the MOD, Marr, putting you on ignore because of your relentless personal attacks against her, and the owner of this site saying "Invidia, can we dial it down a notch ?" ... Good advice!

@Invidia
I refuse to even attempt to read that illegible, novel length rant of yours (and I doubt anyone else will either)...but there is no point in lying, since anyone can clearly see from my screencaps above, that Travis admonished you for your insults towards the moderator, Marr - who had to put you on ignore because of your abuse.
The thread with your meltdown, where you fought with multiple posters, is still posted, for anyone who cares to investigate further.

I think what you're really upset about, is that Amy caught you in multiple lies and hypocrisy, with those screencaps, and now you're doing everything in your power to distract from that with your wild claims about "false accusations" and "sock puppets". It's not false info, since they have the screencaps to prove what they're saying is true.
I find that funny, as would most people , whether or not they choose to post in this thread. The only troll here is you, with your long spam posts filled with personal attacks and conspiracy theories. The other people in this thread did offer advice to the OP that was actually relevant to his question.
If you haven't watched the show, what makes you think you're in a position to argue with people who did? But I guess it's not surprising coming from someone who argues with the site owner and even the MODs have to put on ignore.
Now go ahead and try to get the last word in a thread you previously implied you wouldn't be replying to anymore. Do you ever tell the truth? lol
