-I'm an old fan and found Episode 8 quite intriguing. Agent Cooper seemed to be the main character. At the start he knew there was more to the murder than just a random serial killer, judging by his experiences with Windom Earle, the appearance of Phillip Jeffries, and the disappearance of Agent Desmond. And of course it's a 'blue rose case'. So Lynch is concentrating on Cooper's story. And since Cooper was in The Black Lodge I'm guessing Lynch needs to explain that a bit more. -I think this Dougie character is actually Cooper with amnesia, maybe from shock. He apparently got out of the Black Lodge and left Twin Peaks out of fear maybe. He must have been cogent enough to find work and settle down with a wife and child. And he seems to be in relapse here. But he is having visions of The Red Room and The Arm, 'don't die'. And he instinctively disarmed the hit man, so he seems to be recovering from that. My guess is when he sees Diane, Agent Cole and Albert he will fully recover. Dougie's wife will be quite surprised.
-I've never heard an idea about the A Bomb opening a connection between other dimensions. It seems this is the origin of The Black Lodge. And the giant is some sort of angelic figure who combats it. It sure looks like that to me. I also thought the glass box in NYC was some sort of portal to this other dimension. -These 'woodsmen' seem to be some sort of demons. There were two in the jail with Mr. C, maybe to protect him. They sure revived him after getting shot. In lore demons are fallen angels so it might account for the prosaic language. -I thought it was odd that Deputy Hawk was shown approaching Glastonbury Grove at one time and then suddenly finding the diary pages in the washroom. -I wonder if the Horne brothers and Dr. Jacoby will have run ins with the woodsmen? I think Richard Horne might also. As will Sarah Palmer. -I'm anxious to see Audrey. Back in the day I thought she might take over Ben's business. -I wonder if we will see what happened to the nurse who took the Owl Ring from Annie? And Desmond seems to be a goner. -Some of Lynch's effects reminded me of Guy Maddin somewhat. I bet they are friends, probably through Isabella Rossellini.

Of course he is the main character. You can not be an "old fan" and be unaware that COOPER is the story. Sure there are other stories and plotlines- but he is the star of the series.

And since Cooper was in The Black Lodge I'm guessing Lynch needs to explain that a bit more.

That has already been explained, did you not see all previous episodes?

-I think this Dougie character is actually Cooper with amnesia, maybe from shock.

You think ? No you have not seen the episodes.

He apparently got out of the Black Lodge and left Twin Peaks out of fear maybe. He must have been cogent enough to find work and settle down with a wife and child. And he seems to be in relapse here.

Are you serious? None of this is true, again this has already been explained, did you not see all previous episodes?

You really should read all of the posts in all Twin Peaks threads.

Thanks, I bet you are busy straightening people out about Twin Peaks. I more or less posted in reply to some of the other queries. Some folks want to see the town of Twin Peaks more and it just seemed to me that Lynch wants to tell Cooper's story for the most part. -I wish I wasn't an 'old' fan. :/ I'm 70. -I've got The Return recorded so I need to look at it again. -I'm anxious to see Audrey. - Here's a couple of 'young' fans, more so than me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBSQqHDLmK4

rofl rofl didn't mean to come off that way, you just seemed to have missed a lot of very important scenes.

Yes, I wouldn't mind finding out what happened with some of the old townsfolk, but since I two_hearts Kyle Maclachan- I don't mind it being Cooper's story for the most part.

I wish I wasn't an 'old' fan. :/ I'm 70.

Wow, that is great! beers to you smiley

I've got The Return recorded so I need to look at it again. -I'm anxious to see Audrey. - Here's a couple of 'young' fans, more so than me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBSQqHDLmK4

When you look again, you're going to say. "Wow, I missed that!"

I still say that after re watching an episode for a third, even fourth time. There is so much to follow that something may be overlooked and 'not picked up on' on previous viewings.

I am anxious to see Audrey too, and wondering if Richard Horne is her son.
