Diskuter Twin Peaks

For the first few episodes it was a cool gag but it is getting way too stretched out now. First off, I can't get over the fact that people do not realize there is something seriously wrong with this guy. It's fkn ridiculous already. The man can barely speak and doesn't know to walk out of the elevator and everyone is just like like, "Oh Dougie! You so silly!". Seriously? Nobody acts like that. I could possibly buy him acting like this for a day or so and people just letting it slide but now it is getting to be a bit much. I am starting to not like the show and the original tried my patience at times (especially in the second season) so I am not ready to give up on the show and say it is sh!t but it is definitely starting to lose it's luster. At least the other elements of the show are still intriguing.

@movie_nazi said: Yeah, my CC says "sirens wailing distantly" but they've been wrong before. Anywho, it doesn't change the fact that in real life a kid hit that hard woulda been splattered like a mosquito and everyone would have known that he was dead so there really is no urgency to call for help. Lynch spared us the gruesome scene and did not make it realistic for courtesy purposes.

You sound like you have some experience running down children with that descriptive post.

You think that's descriptive? Hardly.

@Invidia said:

One doesn't need to RUN DOWN people to know what happens to the human body when an OBJECT that MASSIVE which is moving also moving at a HIGH RATE of SPEED COLLIDES with it.

Simple PHYSICS let's us know what the result would be.

And that chances of the OBJECT that was hit still being in ONE PIECE are not good.

On the GILMORE GIRLS, for example, the FATHER (and Grandfather) works for an insurance co. And at one point he also talks about how they have this SPECIAL MACHINE they use to SCRAPE UP the remains of bodies that get into MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENTS.

And he also describes it a looking like a GIANT SIZED SPATULA.

So imagine what can happen to a BODY that isn't even ON a MOTORCYCLE when it's HIT.

Think of a EGG that's been broken up and dropped into the pan and then needing to use a SPATULA to scrape up the remains of it.

Or in that case to scrape off the REMAINS of whatever was left on that TRUCK that hit the boy.

Someone also said they show the TRUCK driver doing that.

Is that true?

Yes, he pulls into the woods and gets a water bottle and throws it on the grill of the truck to remove the blood stain on there. Again, it would have been MUCH nastier. You probably woulda seen pieces of brain matter and flesh stuck into the grill.

SPEAKING of BRAIN MATTER ...

WHY the hell did the CREATURE in the BIG BOX eat the BRAIN MATTER of the COUPLE who were having SEX and leave behind the REST of them?

What kind of a BIG BIRD would do that?

You can also see parts of the EYES and LIPS that are left behind (which are also located over to the side as if a BIG POINTED BEAK had also taken a BIG CHUNK out of the TOP part of their SKULLS.

So the creature also seems to have taken BIG BITES out of the TOPS of their HEADS and then leaves the rest?

Which also gives the impression that it like to much on BRAIN MATTER for some reason?

Maybe it got full? That is one of the weirdest scenes yet and we are gonna need way for info before coming up with any decent guesses.

@Invidia said:

Did you also NOTICE the INFINITY MIRROR EFFECT that takes place INSIDE of the BOX where COOP also seems to get SUCKED BACKWARDS into the BOX???

It happens right after he FLOATS through the HOLE, then SPREADS out his arms as if he's a BIRD in FLIGHT FLOATING around inside of the BOX.

I know you brought this up before but how come Coop did not show up in the recordings? Maybe he didn't materialize enough to be seen by the cameras? You thought Tammy simply did not share the info but I don't think so.

I remember it had names that had to do with the Arthurian legend which it has also been theorized that there is another entrance to the Lodge over in Britain where the legend originates. Name was Lancelot court and Merlin's something or other.

Lancelot Court is the name.

Dougie/Cooper is seeing lights that are guiding him to slot machines, the face of a liar, and answers in case files. Something is aiding him, so couldn't it be affecting people around him? Everyone is helping him for some reason and it's really abnormal. The hooker gives him a ride (a car ride). The casino gives him a limo even though someone who won that much MUST be cheating. The cop/security guard takes him home to his house with a red door. What cop has the time to take someone without ID to his house with a red door? "You've been loitering for at least a half hour, let me drive you home," said no cop ever.

I'm gonna assume I'm wrong but I have the rest of the season to pretend I'm write. But I'm never wrong and my first post here is flawless.

Maybe people are helping him for an abnormal reason but I just wish you would post an example that backs that statement. What you posted does not. Here goes:

The hooker gives him a ride (a car ride).

After seeing the picture the bookie goons give to Janey-e it is pretty obvious that Dougie and Jade had a more than casual relationship. He is obviously a repeat customer and not someone she barely knows. The guy loses his keys and they are in a nasty neighborhood. Of course she is going to give him a ride home. How is this abnormal?

The casino gives him a limo even though someone who won that much MUST be cheating.

The casino has absolutely no proof at all that he is cheating. Believe me, if they did they would have had him arrested. It is common practice to fluff up jackpot winners with favors such as a limo ride home to entice them to come back and lose the winnings back to them. Nothing other worldly going on here.

The cop/security guard takes him home to his house with a red door. What cop has the time to take someone without ID to his house with a red door? "You've been loitering for at least a half hour, let me drive you home," said no cop ever.

I find it curious that FINALLY someone acts normal towards Dougie and you blow it off with someone silly generalization that all cops are jerks. The cop actually realizes there is something wrong with Dougie after he gives him a stern warning and yet he is still there staring at the statue like a brainless idiot. His first implication is that Dougie must be on drugs or drunk and after seeing he clearly is not he then begins to treat him like a dementia patient that has wandered off from his home. Far fetched that he actually took him home? Maybe, but not out of the realm of possibility. I have actually met cops that would do this.

I had agreed with TelegraphOperator when he said "Something is aiding him", of course that makes sense, if it has helped him to win all that money, helped him to fill out those work charts alerting the boss to what Anthony is up to, then, yes why not make those around him act in a certain 'helpful' way towards him?

When the boss was first looking over those charts Dougie had drawn on- he said they were "scribbles" and he did not understand them and said they didn't make sense- but when Dougie repeated what the boss said back to the boss "make sense" that is when the boss finally seemed to understand the scribbles.

I have noticed that whenever Dougie repeats the last few words of what someone says to him back to that person- they ALWAYS help him or understand something that needs to be done.

S P O I L E R

Even more evident they are CLOSELY watching over him -the ARM TREE popping up out the sidewalk telling Dougie, "SQUEEZE HIS HAND OFF!!"

Yes, I am not contesting that Dougie is being aided and that is pretty obvious even before we saw the Arm giving him directions on how to defend himself. We have seen the lights and the image of the Lodge over the slot machines. What I do not believe there isn't any strong evidence for is that the Lodge is also aiding the people around him to aid Dougie.

You read that and assumed that I thought all cops were jerks. Maybe I just thought the cop would take him to the police station and determine his ID before taking him to a house that he says is his home. Good thing Dougie's wife didn't say, "That's my ex husband and he nearly beat me to death but he still thinks this is his home!" That is one bad cop. Good thing they didn't run his fingerprints and find out he was an FBI agent! Cops can't do that.

Yeah maybe the hooker cared for Dougie. But Illegal prostitution in Nevada is still Illegal. She would likely want to get away from the man she just fucked stupid.

There is a probability to winning that many jackpots at slot machines. It's very very tiny. So the casino KNEW he was cheating, and he sorta was. Winning like that isn't possible without cheating.

So...

Yes there are hookers with hearts of gold. There are casinos that give away impossible jackpots. And there are cops that will take people to their homes based solely on their word that that is their home. But put it all together and it "seems" to me that whatever is affecting Dougie/ Cooper is affecting everyone around him.

Hey thanks for the input! You made me think about it more and now I'm even happier with my first comment!

Excuse me? Don't be an imbecile. A hooker just fucking a jon is not the same as a hooker just robbing a jon. She would have no need to "get away" from him as you so densely put it. Yeah it's illegal but giving a man a ride to a casino is not. As previously stated he was a repeat customer so she would know he was cool and no need to "get away". Christ you're fucking dumb.

A hooker giving someone a ride somewhere does not constitute a heart of gold. Casinos can only bust people cheating with proof. And The cop ASKED her (Janey-E) if she knew who this guy was. Cop obviously thought he was a retard that got lost and felt bad for him. You obviously don't get out much cuz I can tell you have had little interactions with hookers, casinos, or cops.

Hey thanks for the input! You made me think about it more and now I'm even happier with my first comment!

That's because you are a moron. Welcome to my ignore list shit for brains. I don't think I will need any of your worthless, moronic, input.

I would never write off ANY theory in TP or any Lynch film. I hope to god people are not that stupid to not notice something wrong with the man but experience has taught me to never underestimate just how dumb people can be.

I know this is true Movie, but that is so difficult to do when discussing TP because of it's complexities and that usually leads to other things.

But I never would have said that about Agent Tammy not sharing the info- because I have never thought that.
