I don't think so. I think Bob is using the Matthew Lillard character.
I have watched episodes 1-4, and I don't recall- who is Matthew Lillard?
then who was Dougie Jones? I thought since he ( Dougie) was someone somebody (who?) created that Bob had been possessing him until he dissolved and Dale Cooper is now using his identity.

I'm sorry, I worded that wrong. Matthew Lillard is actually the name of the actor but I forgot his character's name. He is the guy who got arrested for that murder who's prints were all over the apartment and he says he recalls being at the apartment in a dream. Bob's thing isn't the family life. LOL, I don't think he would possess Dougie to get married and bang hookers. He's after a much richer thrill. The thrill of brutally murdering people. I am leaning towards Dougie is a manufactured vehicle created by Evil Cooper so that when the 25 year switch occurs he is able to remain in our world. Somehow evil Cooper knows a bit about Gordon and Cooper's relationship to him but that guy in jail is definitely evil Cooper and not the real Cooper.

Oh ok.
I can't remember that characters name either.
And when they showed the cell next to murder guy- wasn't that Bob in there looking grey/smokey colored, white eyed and shriveled -then he disappeared?

I didn't think so, but I didn't know what all Dougie may have done prior to dissolving.

This makes sense. The one armed man said something like' he was created/somebody created him' (don't remember the exact words) when Dougie dissolved into that gold bead- that was a gold bead right? and a ball of flesh? I did not realize evil Cooper had the ability to create a body.
Somehow evil Cooper knows a bit about Gordon and Cooper's relationship to him but that guy in jail is definitely evil Cooper and not the real Cooper.
I know. Yes that had me wondering how evil Cooper knew some things(maybe he knows because he is the other half/doppleganger?)- but he didn't get it all right which made Gordon and Albert highly suspicious. I was sure from his expression Albert was going to yell out, 'Hey, you're not Cooper!!' Especially when evil Cooper was being repetitive. If Sheriff Harry Truman were still on the show - he would have known immediately.
I hope Cooper isn't in the 'Rain Man' state of mind for too much longer.

Oh man, I didn't notice that! I will look out for it when I watch it again.

I honestly came up with this from an anime called Bleach in which heavenly souls could visit Earth in manufactured humans called gigai and before they are created they are indeed keep in a little round ball much like the gold ball we saw here. How evil Coop knew how to make these is still a mystery.

It looks like Cooper and Gordon had a preset greeting they created in a "just in case I might not be me when it is me" and evil Cooper failed to give it. So this is why Gordon and Albert knows it aint him. Also I think he would have greeted Albert as well and he did not.

When the camera does a slow pan to the next cell - the jail cell is dark and he is all grey looking (like he is in black and white- not color) his eyes are white and he appears to be really thin, he just disappears, and I thought that had to have been Bob, especially if he had been possessing 'murder guy' (going to have to remember that characters name)

I just remembered something- when Dougie was dissolving , he was wearing the green ring - that is also why I thought he was Bob.

May be Lynch and Frost saw that same anime- homage maybe?

LOL, I think that cup of coffee just woke him up!

I think Bob goes in and out of various personas.
