A lot of parallels between Twin Peaks and Portlandia, which I'm currently watching. A lot of clues there that make me think. Especially with Kyle MacLachlan.

I barely know any people who haven't watched Twin Peaks at least once, so i am fascinated by anyone who is watching it for the 1st time!

As for the post count - it's only thanks to Invidia and it's nothing to clap at. We can just hope and pray that she doesn't come back when the season starts or this place will look even worse than the Leftovers board.

i'm about halfway through. i think it'll be my fourth full viewing? started rather early in case the meandering parts of season 2 make me want to take a break.

You mean all the James bits? I'd fast-forward, they get worse, not better with repeated viewing. Other than that i don't really get the hate for the 2nd season. Oh, Annie, i didn't care for her goodie-two-shoes-awful-underwear-choices persona.

I read that Lynch never wanted to reveal the killer at all and was forced to by the network. Ha! I wonder what people would have thought of the 2nd season if Lynch was given a full creative control!

I didn't realize they had announced a 3rd season ages ago.

Overall, I did enjoy my very first viewing of the series, but If I had watched it 26 years ago and had to live with that ending all this time- I would have been pi ssed.

I thought the James and the married woman trying to kill her hubby were totally useless and the most uninteresting plot. I hate Pete and Audrey got blown to bits.

Which killer? Windom Earle or Bob?

I didn't like that ending and I am anxiously waiting to see how they will continue.
