Who's rewatching Twin Peaks before the new Season begins?

I want to, but re watching most of Season 2 is so off-putting.

I re-watch once a year anyhow. I should be starting soon.

I also always skip Donna, Maddie and James singing session, my constitution is just not strong enough for that stuff; all the soap-opera bits with James after he leaves Twin Peaks, and 2 years ago I decided to never ever watch the Maddie murder scene. After so many years, I finally have come to a firm conclusion that the person who directed that scene is not allright in the head. In a very disturbing, scary kind of way. And, yes, that person was David Lynch.

I watched the first season, but I wasn't really hooked up with the show... I might watch the second season before the third one starts though.

@Marr Give it a try, may be it will "catch on" this time. Nothing wrong, if it won't though. Even though it is a cult classic, it doesn't necessarily speak to all.

I enjoy the atmosphere, it is truly unique and I dunno, somehow soothing, desite the morbid subject matter. I suppose it would be impossible for most fans to watch it so many times otherwise (I am by no means alone in watching it once a year).

Wow! I don't think I've ever rewatched a whole show. Only parts of it because I saw some seasons on TV back when I was a kid, haha! There's so much "good" stuff to watch, I can't keep up! :-(

well, very few shows have that re-watch quality. The only other show i've re-watched (3 times) is Breaking Bad.

My favourite shows ever are Better Call Saul and Mr.Robot for instance, and yet somehow I don't re-watch them. I watch each episode twice though, these 2 really should be watched twice. Impossible to catch everything after just one viewing.

Oh, I also watch Bergman's Fanny and Alexander every year on 24th of December. I started when I was 13 and I guess it' just become a part of Christmas season for me.

Oh yes, Mr. Robot is one of my favourites too!

That moment you totally get it, there's a major plottwist and you're left feeling totally disillusioned (I don't know if this sentence makes lots of sense in English). I think you've just been put on ignore open_mouth

well, disillusioned has a negative connotation, like you are disappointed. But I know what you mean!

I love that feeling. Here you are, having built this concept of reality in your own head, and it turns out it's just a mindtrick and you were half-asleep the whole time. Very educating.

oh, hahaha, I think I know by whom. I am not gonna put her on ignore though. I love me a good car-crash tv. imp

YES. You always have to pay so much attention! The big reveal last (second) season was like OMG. But it did kinda make sense, as it was explained! I wouldn't have guessed though.. Amazing!

I think something went wrong with your quotes joy

it did, i fixed it, hihihi

I was put on alert that things are not what they seem when Elliots shrink asked him "Why your mother?", when speaking about his new life. I just thought he was in a mental institution after that.

I'm watching what showtime is airing. Great stuff. Looks great on hdtv.
This new twin peaks needs to really bring it. I'm sure it will be awesome seeing some of the old characters

This is one of my comfort shows. I have rewatched it off and on for years but I always stop halfway through.

This time I want to finish it before the new season starts.

I've rewatched to the point where the killer is revealed. I always slack on those middle episodes on season 2 that kind of drag~

For me, after the killer is revealed, the show goes off at so many tangents, it becomes almost unwatchable (I did watch it all though !!) So many unforgettable characters.! Still not sure whether I want to see the third season...Some things should just be left alone........

If you skip those soap opera bits where James goes off on his motorbikes and gets involved in a plot to murder a rich husband, you won't miss anything. I have no idea why that was included, but it was awful. The rest, I personally loved.
