He's a FILM ACTOR.

He's in the business of creating REFLECTIONS of his IMAGE that get projected onto the BIG SCREEN.

So this would probably also be the way this other NARCISSISTIC ACTOR treats the women he seduces (which also explains the reason why we see the one in the OLD HOTEL Room sitting there and crying throughout most of IE.

But after she watches the Film on the MONITOR in her room (which also corresponds back to the way Laura PALMER also has the painting in her room that also behaves like a MONITOR), then this LOST GIRL also realizes where she is and what's happened to her.

And that the predatory WOLF in this tale (what the CELEBRITY show HOST calls him), has taken her to a DOPPLEGANGER or a FAKE COPY of the OLD HOTEL ROOM that's been built and created on the MOVIE LOT.

Because IF the NARCISSISTIC PREDATOR took her to a REAL HOTEL ROOM outside of the guarded Movie Lot, then the SPIES of MARILYN LEVENS would also report what he did to the rest of the world (which would also keep him from seducing other prey).

In other words, he uses his REFLECTION on the BIG SCREEN as a way to seduce his prey.

Because whenever they see him he looks familiar to them, which is also why we keep hearing the line:

Look at me and tell me if you've know me before.

Because he also tells his prey he's NEVER KNOWN anyone like them before, thus making them feel they're SPECIAL to him.

But this actor who also says he would NEVER do a REMAKE, also keeps doing REMAKE SCENES each time he seduces another one of his prey.

In MORE THINGS that HAPPENED, NASTASSJA also has a scene where she tells DERN all about how she was picked up in a bar by him and taken to the OLD HOTEL where the DECOR was different and made her feel as if she were in a DREAM.

And he also used his STAGE NAME BILLY when he picks her up and takes her there.

And she also describes how he used the same PICK UP line on her, and how familiar he seemed to her. And even though she also told him she wasn't falling for that line, she does.

But she also didn't have a bad encounter with him like the other girls did (because she was also a married woman who was just out for a quick encounter with him and didn't expect to have anything more with him).

So the gist of it is how this WOLF in the DEN uses his IMAGE as a way to SEDUCE his prey.

Is this still Laura Dern? And why the stage name BILLY?

And DERN is the one who listens to NASTASSJA as she tells her about being picked up by BILLY (aka: Devon or Justin) in the bar who takes her to the FAKE COPY of the HOTEL ROOM that's been created on the MOVIE LOT.

Because taking her to a REAL HOTEL would mean the SPIES of the CELEBRITY SHOW HOST (he was a guest on her show) would have caught him and told the rest of the world about what he's doing).

So he this PREDATOR takes his PREY to the MOVIE LOT and SEDUCES them on the SET.

That's why the LOST GIRL who has no idea where she's at after she's seduced sits there and CRIES until DERN EXITS STAGE 4 after the end of her DEATH SCENE, looks into the MOVIE MONITOR, and sees the other VICTIM of the BIG BAD WOLF.

But since NASTASSJA was already married, and wasn't expecting to have anything but a good time or a one night stand with the WOLF, she's also not been a victim.

Note the way she describes how the DECOR had changed which made her feel like she was DREAMING.

That's because DEVON takes her to the FAKE COPY of the HOTEL ROOM where he's also taken the other LOST GIRL (who was apparently also already in a relationship with the other actor (who plays the PARTS of PIOTREK/SMITHY/THE MUSTASH MAN/ and THE MAN in the GREEN COAT).

LYNCH also said in an interview that DERN plays 4 PARTS in IE.

So NIKI/SUE is also just 2 of the parts she plays.

Since the scene with NASTASSJA takes place in the 90 min BONUS SECTION of IE (which is called MORE THINGS that HAPPENED and was also only made available on the REGION ONE DVD), most people haven't seen it.

So there's also not been very many comments made about it.

Because hardly anyone ever TAKES TIME OUT to figure out what LYNCH has been up to.

But what's clear is how he EXPOSES the UNDERBELLY of the FILM INDUSTRY in MD and in IE (the same way as he exposed FACTORY LIFE and the CONSEQUENCES of living it in ERASERHEAD).

And he also EXPOSED the UNDERBELLY of life in BLUE VELVET where he begins by showing you the IDEALISTIC LOOKING WHITE PICKET FENSE, before we ENTER into the CUT OFF EAR, and then meet FRANK and his friends.

Likewise we also meet LAURA PALMER the HOMECOMING PRINCESS who delivers MEALS on WHEELS, and then DIVE DOWN into the other night life she has as a COKE WHORE.

So EH, TP, BV, MD, and IE are all dealing with showing us the REALITY that one finds BENEATH APPEARANCES.

And that's also why one said each film is like part of a LARGER MANSION, like the one BRIGGS describes to BOBBY, where each ROOM that is ADDED ON fits SEAMLESSLY into the rest of the PLACE.

See what I mean?

LYNCH is a BRILLIANT DIRECTOR that one can learn A LOT from ...

unless one is TOO LAZY to take time out to comprehend what he's doing.

And unfortunately that's also usually the case and what one finds whenever one tries to discuss his works with others who FOCUS on the HOLE instead of upon the DONUT (aka: THE FILM or the story) itself.

Such a shame there's so many LAZY people out there who also feel a duty to FLING their SNARKY comments, simply because they can't be bothered to take time to understand what's going on in his stories .

I like Lynch, but don't understand much of his work. I'm guessing he leaves his work open to interpretation on purpose. I really like his aesthetic, especially in Twin Peaks.

It looks like we are both right. Because I'm definitely right and your point about extreme love of weirdness is valid also.

But here's what i've discovered. Some things present themselves as riddles for me to solve and they simmer in my unconscious until, one moment, bams, the solution just floats to the surface.

Something was bothering me about this indivia thing (and, no it wasn't her obsession with me or even that she seemed to suggest that some fictional movie rapist/killer should visit me). May be because in spite of my appreciation for a bit of creative trolling, I DO actually enjoy discussing things i like and have watched. And I started to have a feeling that chances of that are slim to none with that thing present. The question i had was - where did she come from? This kind of crazy doesn't suddenly come about just because there is a new forum to try and dominate. She had to come from somewhere, she could't have kept all this bottled up before. And I definitely would have recognised her if she frequented the TP board on imdb. So suddenly, it occured to me, the place I'd find her - https://www.imdbarchive.com/board/10460829/

Point being, that's what bothered me - this is how every single tmdb board is going to look for every thing she happens to "like".
Another show I am fond of is Leftovers. She's started there already, but with Hogies support and encouragement, the 2 of them could finish that board off within a week too, no?

I like a bit of weirdness as much as the next person. But like i said, there are limits. If i want to see monkeys i go to the zoo, if i was interested to watch crazy ppl, i'd volunteer at the insane asylum.

I don't think it's fair to rob people of possibility to discuss their favourite shows, just to accommodate one crazy person. This is not some harmless quirky weirdo, it is a person with actual serious mental illness and there is simply no way normal people will be able to post on the boards she frequents.
