When the body of SAS officer Tom Sunderland is found in a shallow grave, DI Ken Jackson becomes caught up in a messy love triangle involving Sunderland's wife Lucy and his best friend, fellow army officer Sean Brook. As the dead man's GP, Joanna finds herself increasingly involved in the case when she realises that only weeks before, Sunderland told her his wife was out to kill him.
