Unhappily married art teacher Dani Oxley starts an affair with colleague Jimmy while they are supervising a school trip to an adventure centre. After leaving her students unattended to meet Jimmy in a boathouse, Dani gets back to find one of her charges is missing.

Jimmy calls Dani asking for help as Matt has run away after an argument, while Chloe shows Dani an unsettling text Zac sent her about Sienna. Dani and Jimmy track down a volatile Matt and Dani and Tim's marriage reaches a turning point as she admits she cannot stay with him.
