Item: Я иду против ветра
Language: ru-RU
Type of Problem: Incorrect_content
Extra Details: For some reason, the user https://www.themoviedb.org/u/chkchkboom deleted from this series many actors who are present in the series according to Baidu Baike and other Chinese sites. On themoviedb, the data on Chinese cinema is already very fragmentary. I would like to know the reason for such actions.

I made these edits fairly early on after joining this site, so mistakes were likely made as I was still getting used to the rules. If you notice anything that’s incorrect, please feel free to re-edit to make it more accurate. I'm slowly fixing my own wrong edits if I cross them again.
From what I understand, the cast list section for TV shows on tmdb should only include main or starring cast members. This is different from movies on tmdb where we list all and then sort by appearance. However, I’ve noticed that for many Chinese shows, guest/minor/bit part actors and actresses often get added to this section. I only remove those I know are not credited as main or starring, especially if it's a show that I have watched.
Baidu, Douban, and many other Chinese sites, and even how the credits show up at the end, typically don’t distinguish between guest stars, special appearances, bit parts, or friendly cameos. They tend to group all of these into a single list. This form of cast listing was especially common in older shows, but now that billing order is becoming more important, it's starting to be separated when seeing the listing credits. Bigger productions will usually list the main/starring actors, while shorter dramas tend not to.
Of course, if a mod sees this and I am incorrect, I will gladly not make these types of edits in the future. Lately, I've been tending to keep all cast listings I'm unsure of, even if I suspect they aren't part of the main cast, to avoid potential edit wars, since I'm not confirming them myself.
