1.Could Sheldon's rental of his old bedroom be the writers' way of edging him back into that apartment for good?
2.Show of hands: How many think it makes more sense for Penny and Leonard to live in Penny's apartment...because it's her apartment? I think we can consider Sheldon and Amy's "living together experiment" over and a success.
3.If Sheldon does not live in his old apartment, is his spot still enforced?

Ahh, but if you notice, they have changed the decor a lot. Not everything, but most of the wall stuff is different.

I'm going to have to look more closely then. That's good to hear.
I guess I'm thinking mostly of the living room furniture and maybe the dishes.
This is a tangent, but I sure did love Penny's Chinese lanterns in her bedroom!

At the end of that episode, Leonard was starting to hide some of that most girlie stuff, as Penny had been doing previously with his sci-fi collectibles etc. But we haven't seen yet how much of a difference it's made. I suspect Penny would notice her pink pillows etc missing, more than Leonard missed the Batman fob or whatever from his key chain.

Sometimes I think of him more as Professor Whack-A-Mole, because no matter how many times you hit him with a hammer, he pops up again.

I do believe that Sheldon's spot has gone away much like Sheldon's classic Bazinga! has gone. A gag that has served its time.

I think you are right. It was those very specific quirks that made Sheldon so unique and interesting, though. Now his quirkiness is quite watered down, and takes the form of things like his conniption fits about not being able to solve string theory. It's like in the episode of SpongeBob where his head rounded out and he became normal, instead of pointy and goofy. Sheldon's head is rounding out too much for my liking.

Soon he will be just like Charlie Brown and his big round head.

Good grief!
(Except I think Leonard's the Charlie Brown of the show personality-wise.)

Leonard is Charlie Brown. Bernie is Lucy. Amy is Marci. Um I don't know about who is who in the rest of the Charlie Brown Universe. Funny how everything is a universe now

Not just a universe! A multiverse! That's what you need to allow for things like a female Thor, etc.

If only the Peanuts piano player'd had a cat, it would have been Schroeder's Cat.

A female Thor would be a sin.

I agree. But I think they're already doing it, in the comics. ("Graphic novels.") At least that's what I've read. Hopefully that nonsense will never make it to the big screen.

Well, they can do what they want in the comics. Just don't touch my Chris Hemsworth. It's bad enough they cut his long, sexy locks.

Been there done that. Tarene aka"Thor Girl" premiered about 15 years ago, before the onslaught of all these Marvel/DC movies. Get you nerd credentials in order my dear sir.
Now if you want to bring up a multiverse, then what a multiverse is really needed for is to allow for the fact of an ancient Nordic god being turned into a cheesy superhero. What would Edith Hamilton say ?
