Settle down there Lemoons, I did not find your post distressing just intensely involving. I do hope that a "Message Board Agreement" is on its way and expect to see even longer series of questions from you in the future.

More fun with rocks

When I was a wee little z I recall going with my mother and grandmother to Indiana (I think that was the state). Anyways I recall going to some big open pit or rock finding place and hunt for what I remember were called Geodes. Anyways some kind of rock. I also have a Petosky Stone or two from Upper Michigan. Also, I have some vague memory of standing in a long line to see moon rocks. Or maybe going to the moon to see them firsthand. I might have a small book like box with a display of rocks suitable for any show and tell somewhere. I also have a huge boulder in front of the house that was put there eons ago by the builder of the house. End of Rock story.

I had trouble concentrating past the cuteness of "wee little z", but it sounds like you have quite the geologic history. That's a sweet story about the geodes. My dad had a geode on his desk, as did my former boss, and I always thought they were very pretty. I had to look up the Petoskey stone, but they're quite pretty as well. Really, I can't understand why someone wouldn't like rocks.

And to relate this to my "friends" thread, I think that another good characteristic of a friend is that they're your "rock".

I cannot hear that word without imagining that scene from BBT when Sheldon drunk-calls Stephen Hawking and says Geee-odes over and over. laughing
