Help For Raj In 2018?

A company is supposed to launch a new dating app in February 2018 that matches users based on their DNA.
Yes! DNA! Who knew that a person has “attraction genes”!?
The process starts with a person submitting a cheek swab using a specially-created kit. Who knows, maybe 
success for Raj is just an app away?
ON ANOTHER NOTE:
What say you? If such a thing really came to fruition, would you try it 
or 
?
I'm going - Just wouldn't want any-old-body tooling around with my gene-stuff.

Well, since this is a science-y show, a science-y method for finding a mate might be a good storyline, and goodness knows Raj has exhausted most other avenues.
However for me, that sounds like too many test tubes and too little magic. It might yield a greater success rate (who knows?), but it kind of kills the step of becoming naturally attracted to someone.
For a girl who HATES chick flicks, I'm still a romantic at heart.

Speaking of "scienc-y", according to what I read the company has "a team of in-house scientists" who will be handling the specially-created kit submitted by the Swabers .

Couple of things:
-1. Any scientists dedicating their knowledge, skills, and ability to date-app exploration have too much time on their hands.
-2. Maybe I’m too sci-fi-ish, but in a few years transplants with become run-of-the-mill instead of some big to do. What better way to get ahead of the game than create a “database” of suitable subjects? Not only that, but they can also track their subjects over time—that is, until they age-out of the donor pool. I’m convinced that some of the folks (kids too) who turn up MIA, are just unfortunate victims who simply happened to have “the right stuff”.
Well, at least they are upfront about telling folks that they WANT IT ALL. That is, in addition to the kit and the personal information stated on users’ profiles, they also collect their social media data.
If there are any "POI" fans out there - Is this..now!?

What do they mean matching by DNA; are they talking about closeness in DNA or disparity?
If it's the former it sounds like a good way to end up dating my cousin or half brother by accident which I already have to be careful of due to the sheer size of family.

But, considering how scattered families are these days--and, how many branches there are on some folks' divorced-remarried-divorced-remarried-divorced... family tree--a valid concern.

It takes Thai food to 'splode into another version of yourself. At least that's how Sheldon made it happen. If Raj is going to marry himself it's going to take a lot of Thai food.

In the past, I've read about a service in Iceland - might actually be a government thing - for people to look up potential dates etc to make sure they're not too closely related. In Iceland that's a more significant problem.

No; have not seen "Coma"; but I see it’s by Michael Crichton (definitely a + in my book); also read the plot summary, and saw the official trailer. Don’t have to “hit me over the head” to make a believer out of me.

Sometimes “fiction” is just “fact” that has yet to see the-light-of-day.
The 'POI' reference has to do with the notion that there is no longer a need to surreptitiously collect data on people anymore. No need to tap phones—hack computers—redirect mail—plant bugs—put-cameras-in-toilets. That people will READILY SHARE! All that’s needed is to give them some legitimate-sounding reason and they’ll fork over EVERYTHING —from their blood type to their shoe size—without suspicion—without reservation.
