Raj is one of the dumbest people in the history of mankind. At one point, he had a chance to hook up with Penny, screwed that up royally.
He had BOTH Claire and Emily , both pretty attractive and seemingly ok with casual sex. He managed to lose both.
Then comes Ruchi who is the total package. Intelligent, (aside from her blabbing to Raj about wanting to take over Bernadette's projects) funny, beautiful, classy . She's also ok with a casual relationship and then he presses the issue, scaring her off.
Raj needs a shock collar to put on , the next time he dates ,anything he does that's remotely needy delivers enough volts to power West Hollywood.

Raj had no chance with Penny. It was just another of her drunken hookups. Besides Raj couldn't finish the act.
If anyone needs a shock collar it is the writing staff if they come up with another Raj gets and loses another girlfriend storyline.
Ruchi was no good. All she really wanted was to use Bernie and Raj.

Well, be fair to Raj. He does want a "soul mate," but as important as he thinks - and thought with Howard when they did stuff together to pick up women - sex is, you'd think he could find a way to put his fantasies aside in the meantime, as long as there's boinking to be had. He actually seemed better at that with Emily and Claire. Now the writers have regressed him in order to have more hilarity, I suppose.

Raj has just been looking for love in all the wrong places.
A nice someone-for-everyone quote:
Bottomline, all Raj needs to do is find a like-minded love. It’s doable—After all, Sheldon found Amy without you-know-what freezing over—why not Raj?

The issue isn't Raj finding someone. He's found many. The issue with this character is he self destructs and acts like a complete douchebag the moment he finds that someone. He becomes arrogant, while at the same time, needy and clingy. That's a poor combination. Until this character changes, he's doomed to repeat his failures.

The problem I see with a proper girlfriend for Raj is that we end up with a character with little to do but cling on Raj's arm now and then without having much else to do. I can't see how this character might be integrated to the whole group or be useful at all. I would rather have Raj return to his telescope and do something sciency. I

Many--Yes. But, not the right one among those many. I'm not talking about just finding someone; I'm talking about finding a like-minded someone. As in:
Raj & Rajette.
(Remember when Sheldon met Amy--personality-wise she was pretty much Sheldon-in-a-skirt.)

The girls could also take her under their wings. It wouldn't cost anything extra to have her spend some quality-time bunching around with them.-- The main problem is: When they are all together, WHERE WILL SHE SIT!

He said hook up, not date.
And I like that the writers exploit his tragic flaw, his cliginess, but it's a broken record now.
It's roughly the same storyline every new girl he meets.

Stuart and Raj should hook up.

Stuart is okay but he is no Howard. Howard should just combine all his sex gadgets into one Robo-Woman for Raj.
