So my feelings about this season have been somewhat mixed. The last two episodes have been an improvement, but overall this season has been middle-of-the-road for me. Does anyone else feel that there has been almost too much focus on science? I feel like I'd like to see more character-driven episodes and a bit less focus on the science and workplace stuff. I know this is in complete opposition to previous complaints, but I'm a bit underwhelmed so far. Maybe we need more gaming/comic book stuff? Something is missing - any thoughts on what it could be?

I liked the last episode where so many of them were trying to sabotage each other. That was an interesting take on the usual friendship angle. Middle of the road is better than veering off the road for me. With "Justice League" out I would like to see some comic book/movie angle. I think that they laid on the Edison/Tesla bit a little too much. If the gang would get together and do something fun that would be welcome too. More nudity from the posters here ???

The Tesla-Edison thing didn't really bother me, it was kind of nice to have more science again, even if it's kinda science gossip. Which maybe made it easier for the women-folk to get involved too. But it bugged me when it seems like Penny got it backwards at the end. Weren't they actually behaving more like Edison, than Tesla? Penny said the opposite.

Don't you know by now that Penny is the dumb one. Or is it Leonard who is the dumb one ?

Well sure, but then Leonard or someone should have corrected her, instead of apparently agreeing. Maybe the real problem was that the writer(s) forgot which was Tesla and which was Edison.

I think it's been good not great. They could focus more on pop culture and use the recurring characters more.

I think the new showrunner is doing good. And he got thrown for a loop when the actress that plays Bernie ended up pregnant. That forced his hand a bit. But I'm enjoying this season so far. Can't think of another sit-com in it's 11th season that was as good as TBBT is now.

I always love the science, but I'd also like to see some of their quirky/zany adventures again.

I know. We always hear them talking about Comic-Con and such. With only a few exceptions, we rarely see them at these events. Now, I know it's tough to do an "on location" shoot for a show filmed with a studio audience. But I'd still love to see these guys at a Star Trek Convention. I thought it was hilarious when they were on their way to Comic-Con and stopped for their photo shoot in the desert where a lot of TOS episodes where filmed. That was a true adventure as they became a 'real life landing party'.
Or maybe a rematch with Kripke's "The Kripke Krippler". Or the Science Bowl.
They don't need to re-visit those episodes, but something along those lines would be fun, and a nice break from all the relationship stuff.

I think that is what's missing! They are either at work or hanging around the apartment - a few road trips or other adventures would be good. Even having them all together at party somewhere would be cool. And I always enjoy the holiday episodes, and we didn't even get a Thanksgiving one this year.
That being said, the descriptions for the next two episodes sound very promising!

It seems that someone forgot to tell the new show-runner that Howard is allergic to nuts.
