I would probably see this show going for at most another few seasons more. So what could be successfully done in the next few seasons? Chuck also has said it will probably end after 12 seasons.

So whats the perfect way to end it all?

I'd say end it HUGE like Sheldon discovers something monumental and wins the Nobel Peace Prize and the whole gang is there listening to his acceptance speech. He then rips all the gang a new one but then ends it with saying how much they all contributed to him winning the Nobel Peace Prize. I'd like Leonard and Penny to have a kid. Sheldon and Amy get married.

But most of all Raj needs to finally find the one and get married as well. Maybe they all can go to India for a BIG Indian wedding!

When did Raj's sister get married? The one who dated Leonard.

I don't think they were specific about timing, but evidently she did get married - probably to guy she cheated on Leonard with? - because in the episode when Raj decided to stop taking money from his parents ("The Allowance Evaporation" S10E16), his father said "I have six children, five of whom are married and self-sufficient. I don't think I'm the problem!" So she evidently got married sometime before then.

Raj is supposed to be renting a place above Bert's garage now, and not taking his parents' money. But his attitudes and behavior don't seem to have changed any.

And it's not even necessarily about being clueless. The Leonard/Penny and Howard/Bernadette pairings work. And as odd as Sheldon is, and as unlikely as I think someone like Amy is, putting up with Sheldon's nonsense, I think it's even less likely Raj could find someone who would put up with his insecurities etc.

Raj hasn't really come a long way. Like Howard said in the past, he was always a jerk, women just didn't hear it unless he was drinking. Now he doesn't need to be drinking for women to know he's a jerk, same as always. If anything that's going backwards for him, because in the past women didn't know right off that he was a jerk, unless he was drinking. Now it's immediate.

As long as Raj is working for Sheldon or whatever the situation is now, his position is relatively safe. And he could apply for permanent residency and/or citizenship on his own. But he may not even want to be legally an American; and getting married to a citizen would be easier plus mean he could continue to claim to be Indian legally. Which somehow seems to be important to him no matter how much he complains about India.

I think he enjoyed the luxury and wealth his parents had, and all the servants and easy life of India. But he always complained how crowded and hot and polluted it was.

I think what he loves most about USA is the freedom and the romanticism of coming to America and living the dream. I personally think Raj is by far the funniest character on the show. Leonard is the most likable you want to root for him and he already landed and married Penny.

Howard has a good wife and kids. Sheldon will probably get married soon to Amy, so Raj is again the odd man out, the true under dog of the show!

I kind of liked the sort of ending in the episode where the gang decides to meet each other in 20 years. Cut to Stuart driving up in his cool light up future car and no one else is there for the reunion. Sad I know but so true.

i love that episode! Stuart rolls up and says I KNEW IT! LOL that would imply that they all lost touch or at least that Stuart did lol

I had just seen that episode and heard the comment from his father.

Okay, and I don't remember anything more specific, like Raj telling Leonard or whatever.

I'm not a regular watcher, so I wasn't sure if it had been mentioned, other than the comment from that episode. But I also didn't know that Raj had 5 siblings.

And I'm not sure if a specific number was mentioned before. But for example, when Leonard asked Priya when she planned to tell her parents about him, her response was (something like) "I have a bunch of brothers and sisters, eventually one of them will screw up real bad, and then I'll tell them."

Or maybe she just said "brothers."

Hopefully not a very-special episode.

I want all story lines to be resolved organically and nothing TOOOO predictable other than marriages and a kid for Penny and Leonard. Throw us a curve ball.

Have Sheldon win his noble prize in a science he has no respect for and end up giving a speech condemning said science while dodging projectile objects from practitioners of that science.

Sheldon marries Amy

Have Stewart win the lottery and build a nationwide comic book store.

Raj ends up with Ruchi

Leonard and Penny have a kid.

I know the OP asked how we want it to end, but I'm not sure how I want it to end. My mind is fairly open there. These are my predictions, though:

1.Sheldon (possibly along with Leonard) wins Nobel prize in physics for his work with Bert. Bert, of course, wins, too.

2.Sheldon and Amy get married but don't have kids.

3.Bernie's company offers her a promotion and but she has to move. Last episode they move away.

4.Raj stays single through end of show.

5.Leonard and Penny have a baby in last episode. Leonard confirms that their children are indeed smart and beautiful.

I agree with all except 4. I think the writers will throw Raj a bone by the last episode.

How about this....

  1. Leonard and Penny get divorced

  2. Howard is miserable because Bernie completes her transition into being EXACTLY like his mother, and he leaves just like his Dad did.

  3. Sheldon watches as Bert and Kripke win a Nobel Prize, while his grant is canceled and he is then forced to move and live back home with his Mom in Texas, and works at The Apple Store.

  4. Raj gets deported.

  5. Amy marries David Gibbs - the English guy she dated after she broke up with Sheldon.

  6. Stuart's store takes off and becomes a successful Comic Book Chain of stores, both brick and mortar, AND on the internet, and he becomes a "Jeff Bezos" type of billionaire.

  7. Bob Newhart then wakes up and realizes the entire series has been yet another long and weird dream.

The End

Except for the Sheldon ripping the gang a new one part—OK

But, I have his acceptance speech be a thinly veiled love_letter from Team Big Bang to its fans for their Loyalty and Support over the years.

Also, wouldn’t mind seeing some “oldies” at the ceremony—Leslie/Kripke/ The HR Lady/Gablehauser/Siebert /Cousin Leo/Tiny Spock/I know there are others, but can’t think of them right now.

As for my own perfect ending…

I'd like a bit more “real world”. That is, with each person or couple doing what we do in real life. We go our separate way because of whatever. Everyone promises to "keep in touch"; but, knows deep down that as time passes life will get in the way; and some will—some wont.

Yeah. I know it’s a comedy—but, what the heck? They dropped a piano on a certain short pants, bowling shirt wearing character in the "goodbye" episode of another long-running sitcom—and it worked!

Why do you have an issue with Sheldon tearing everyone a new one. That's literally what he does in every episode. He makes the rest of the gang question why they are even friends with him in the first place. So you'd want him to just be a graceful humble person accepting the nobel peace prize after 12 seasons of being the complete opposite? That wouldn't even make sense.

Sheldon stopped doing some things he always did AND started doing some things he never did--a long time ago. Reason enough for me to believe that by the time he reaches his ultimate goal, he will have progressed further still.

Love It LOL!

Imagine Stewart doing a TEdTalk:

"How I went from sad sack to new owner of the playboy mansion."

LMAO that be a funny and depressing way to go out with a BANG (pun intended)

and 7. Bob Newhart is already on the show as Professor Proton well at least in OBe Won Kanobi ghost form.

  1. Change that to the Dairy Queen

  2. No, he was obsessed with Sheldon, so in my opinion it wouldn't turn out well.

  3. Sounds good.

  4. I had a similar scenario but it was the 'uber' annoying young Sheldon's dream. He had received an A on a math test so thought he was, of course, the 'smartest' person in the world but it turns out that the teacher made a mistake and he only got a B -. It ends with him screaming in horror.
