Anyone else think Howard getting a vasectomy is too drastic?
Also I'm surprised they kept the pedo joke in with all the news circling around Hollywood about sexual assault and child abuse. That's pretty tone deaf of them.
And How is Howard who's allergic to peanuts going to eat Kung Pao chicken?
Other than those issues, decent episode.

I remembered that they showed his house in an earlier season (in the episode where actor-Wil and director-Amy had a disagreement). I looked for the number this time around; but, either I remembered too late, or I blinked and missed it.
Really just wanted to see if someone "flubbed" it.
As for a "D"--would have been a nice touch. But, kind of a let down to find that a star as big as Wheaton, who has been in the business since before puberty was reduced to living in an apartment.

Well that house he has in the show doesn't seem particularly large or fancy. Not from what they show of it anyway. It has what appears to be a rather simple... alcove style?... front entrance. I see bank commercials and stuff every day where a regular working stiff family has a fancier place than that, without ever being in movies or a successful TV series (or two).
Then again, where they are, plain 1701 Whatever St might still have cost a million $ or more.
He wouldn't have to be in an apartment necessarily either, to have unit D. He could have the 4th unit of a 4-plex. For that matter, he could own the 4-plex and rent out the other units to other people, perhaps other former Trek actors.
Uh oh, I hope Chuck Lorre doesn't get an idea for another show from this!
On the other hand, I can think of at least one good bit they could get from that: a re-creation of the episode with James Earl Jones and Sheldon, where maybe Michael Dorn (Worf) and Wil Wheaton go to Marina Sirtis's place and ring the doorbell and run away, and she comes out looking just as unrecognizable as Carrie Fisher was. (Have you SEEN Marina Sirtis lately? Yikes! And I don't mean "yikes" in the way Beverly means it.)

Well Wheaton might appeal to both the kids and parents. The kids for the science and the parents for his personality because I don't see Will doing this straight with his leering sarcastic side. Wheaton does have that devilish glint in his eye he might even bring in Kev Smith or even Leonard to do an explosive experiment or two and then bazinga them. Now what about that puppet ?

Yeah the puppet, I thought about that too. It was probably a bad idea for the original show - Arthur Jeffries certainly seemed to think so, but evidently was overruled by executives - and hopefully wouldn't be copied for the reboot. If only because a reboot Professor Proton is also going to have more commercials and less actual show time than the original, which TBBT also suffers from.

It's kinda visible here, it's the best image I could find online.

It's had better lighting in the past, including last week's episode.

Couldn't see it at all--but, thanks for the thought.

Well, I never have trouble looking up past episodes myself, because I have them all recorded going back to the very start. It's a little surprising that nobody bothered to put a better-lit example of 1701 on the internet somewhere, since it's been available several times in episodes over the years.

In one episode Leonard said that when he orders at the Chinese restaurant they know him as "no peanut guy" - so basically he always orders food for Howard with no peanuts/peanut oil.

Instead of just talking-the-talk, why didn't YOU walk-the-walk?

Fine. How about this?

(I might have gone with "Challenge accepted!" but I hated what they did to How I Met Your Mother.)

Thanks.
Considering how prominently it's displayed--how I could have missed it is a "can't know".
