This may sound odd, and I thought it was when I heard it too, but we were at a large gathering a few years back, and one woman (it was actually an older woman - older than me which means OLDER - lol) actually posed the question "Did you actually have sex on your wedding night?"

Now while most who were willing to answer the question said YES, I was taken aback at how many people actually said NO. And yes, more than a couple people were 'off-put' by the question. But since this woman persisted - a quite interesting discussion sprung from it.

So, since weddings are all the rage here this season and with some posters, I thought I'd pose it here.

Us? Yes, we did. We actually didn't go to a hotel on our wedding night - but to my/our condo. We left for our honeymoon trip 36 hours later. We were exhausted - but still young enough to 'consummate' the evening. Actually a great night from 1am - 3:30am. The thing we were most tired for was a scheduled brunch the next morning at 11am to open gifts. That morning was probably one of the hardest ones to ever get up and get going.

I thought we might get some honest answers here on this admittingly odd topic, since we really don't personally know each other in 'the real world'.

You started with "convincing" and then CQ brought up "reciprocating" not sure what's supposed to be ambiguous about that. "Convincing" with "reciprocation" sure sounds like "obligation" to me.

And the "obligation" is 100% you. No one else mentioned anything about obligation.

And " sure sounds like" is not a logical connection, but I wouldn't expect that much from you.

Perhaps you shouldn't have used the word "reciprocating" and tied it to "convincing" if that's not what you meant, but that's your mistake, not mine.

I'm gonna go out an a limb here and say that what you seem to want to do a lot of the time is stir $hit. The fact you continually bog yourself down in semantics and confusion shows a pattern. My advice to you is, reply to what people write, not what you THINK they MEAN. If you are confused, ask for a clarification. Don't just make an assumption. Otherwise you end up debating with yourself.

With preliminaries and after-aries it isn't difficult for hours to pass.

True. We may be "Push to start" but women are more old engines that need to be warmed up.

Now the real conundrum that think-tanks have been ruminating over for ages. Convincing our spouses to "Kneel for the National Anthem".

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: If you guys spent as much time Reciprocating as you did "Convincing" ,you wouldn't need to do the "Convincing". 😏

If you engage in this activity SIMULTANEOUSLY (69), reciprocation becomes unnecessary!

Hey-oh! wink

This thread needs its own parental advisory sticker. Yow!

As for the reciprocating vs convincing. I would say that reciprocating implies giving while convincing implies wanting. Sounds like a lot of work to me. Maybe its best in the heat of the moment when trying to rationalize such acts is subsumed to just doing them. So just do it but keep it to yourselves.

Watch out for those high school girls, Murph. I don't want to see your mug shot on TV or in the paper.

Not to worry. All of my students hate me. And I teach computers.

Could that be because a computer class is a graduation requirement these days? And they'd rather just "have fun," not actually learn anything about how they work etc? I wonder if there's some way to combine the two. Perhaps not, if you have strict parameters for the class and especially if it's just one term. In the olden days, programming your own game was considered a fun challenge but these days all you might hear is "Why should I do that myself, I can get it for free at the Google Store!"

I never tied anything to anything, that's why his words are in quotes . You attribute wrong meaning to other people statements then don't have the integrity or the guts to admit you're wrong. That's your problem.

Notice, every thread seems to end with you getting tangled up in some semantic tirade. Im thinking maybe the internet is too hard for you.

Well Murph there is always Siri. She can even call you Sexy! Just imagine the fun. Unlike Raj you can talk to her in person.

LOL! Welcome back LLoL!

I never answered this because I'm not much of a kisser and teller, but the answer is yes, though I remember almost nothing about it. We were 'zausted after a long day and a bit of travel.

Now, when someone starts the thread about doin' it outdoors, I'll have a honeymoon story for you. hushed

Lemons do really want me to start a thread called "Doing it the Great Outdoors with Lemons, or at least in the steam tunnels under the university "
Because that is taking it too far even for me. Hey what happened to the show "The Great Outdoors" ? Was it cancelled ? evergreen_tree deciduous_tree cactus
