This may sound odd, and I thought it was when I heard it too, but we were at a large gathering a few years back, and one woman (it was actually an older woman - older than me which means OLDER - lol) actually posed the question "Did you actually have sex on your wedding night?"
Now while most who were willing to answer the question said YES, I was taken aback at how many people actually said NO. And yes, more than a couple people were 'off-put' by the question. But since this woman persisted - a quite interesting discussion sprung from it.
So, since weddings are all the rage here this season and with some posters, I thought I'd pose it here.
Us? Yes, we did. We actually didn't go to a hotel on our wedding night - but to my/our condo. We left for our honeymoon trip 36 hours later. We were exhausted - but still young enough to 'consummate' the evening. Actually a great night from 1am - 3:30am. The thing we were most tired for was a scheduled brunch the next morning at 11am to open gifts. That morning was probably one of the hardest ones to ever get up and get going.
I thought we might get some honest answers here on this admittingly odd topic, since we really don't personally know each other in 'the real world'.

Deja Vu. I distinctly remember this group having the exact same conversation on the IMBD boards.
Well, if we're sharing, mine's rooftop.
Not really "crazy" but definitely unconventional.

Also depends on if the roof was flat, or sloped.

Flat at the start , sloped by the end is the story I used to tell my female friends but that was more strategic than anything 😏
Truth is we had dinner on the roof, just never made it downstairs.

Not too crazy, I could see how things could escalate . Just tell me one thing, was this a public or private pool table?
The degree of crazy is completely contingent upon that !

Oh snap, there's a pool table in my past too - does that beat the Beefsteak Charlie's bench? I'll let you folks decide

Well now a days a wedding is like a freaking play or production or block buster movie. So you got the entire family and friends in attendance to entertain until the wee hours of the night and like someone mentioned you are often on a plane to the honeymoon or just way to exhausted to even have sex until a few days later.
This may be more of a big deal for the hard core religious folks who actually waited until their wedding night to lose their V card?

Hmmmmm.
Craziest place was not with my wife. Much younger. In a school gymnasium. They had all those foam landing mats stacked up in the corner of the gym. Me and my girlfriend at the time made a little 'barricade' while everyone else was playing basketball and such. We did it back there. Didn't get caught! lol
WILDEST and FUNNIEST time was our 5th Anniversary. We had a room at a hotel with a full hot tub. Suite was really cool- a TV in the Hot Tub room. (Hey, back in the late 90's that was like insane!). We had the room for the weekend, but right out of the gate on Friday night, we ended up having the headboard to the bed, that was attached to the wall, fall down onto the bed. Fortunately neither of us were hurt. We didn't know what to do, as I couldn't get the headboard back on. So we got dressed and went to dinner. My wife went straight to the car, and made me go to the front desk to report 'a defective headboard'. Talk about EMBARRASSING.
We were more careful the rest of the weekend. lol And when we returned, the headboard was fixed and back in place! lol

Semi-private? It was a private social club, but the public was welcome during business hours.

In school? You are BOLD. I was never brave enough to attempt that but I remember in High school during fire drills certain couples would strategically disappear to the parking lot and come back after lunch.
I also remember when I was on the baseball team in HS they organized trips after the season was over for the girl's team and boy's team to go on a trip together. Only the coaches who were "chaperones" didn't really care what happened on said trip.
Just imagine: a group of hormonal teenage athletes on a out of state trip together with little to no supervision. It was like the Olympic village.
