This may sound odd, and I thought it was when I heard it too, but we were at a large gathering a few years back, and one woman (it was actually an older woman - older than me which means OLDER - lol) actually posed the question "Did you actually have sex on your wedding night?"
Now while most who were willing to answer the question said YES, I was taken aback at how many people actually said NO. And yes, more than a couple people were 'off-put' by the question. But since this woman persisted - a quite interesting discussion sprung from it.
So, since weddings are all the rage here this season and with some posters, I thought I'd pose it here.
Us? Yes, we did. We actually didn't go to a hotel on our wedding night - but to my/our condo. We left for our honeymoon trip 36 hours later. We were exhausted - but still young enough to 'consummate' the evening. Actually a great night from 1am - 3:30am. The thing we were most tired for was a scheduled brunch the next morning at 11am to open gifts. That morning was probably one of the hardest ones to ever get up and get going.
I thought we might get some honest answers here on this admittingly odd topic, since we really don't personally know each other in 'the real world'.

I can't remember (it was 45 years ago).

Yes. Also the night before, and the night after... But what this topic reminded me of is a recent TV ad for Perillo Tours to Italy. One of the "customer statements" is a husband saying something like "It's the best thing that I ever experienced on an anniversary." I was thinking his wife should have slapped him or said "Oh really?" or something. Maybe she did, after the camera cut.

OMG I love this question, and I love that I can honestly say NO, we did not have sex on our wedding night!
After dancing for hours in my wedding heels, I could barely walk. My legs were like rubber, my feet throbbed, and all my husband and I wanted to do after packing up our car and driving home was sleep!

Only two and a half hours Censorshipsucks? Take that Tiger off your avatar 😜
When you ask this question are you referring to couples who wait until their wedding night to have sex? I sure as hell didn't wait.
I think the wedding day is a day you just want to sleep when it's over. On The Honeymoon I'll jump his bones everyday.

" When you ask this question are referring to couples who wait until their wedding night to have sex? " Na. I assume everyone I know that is married had sex prior to the wedding. Yes, I'm sure there are some that waited - but I don't know any of them.
And hey, 2.5 hours of fun was all we could muster! Today after a heavy meal and a movie, I'm up for about 5 minutes. lol. Hell, we ain't in our 20's anymore! LOL
But here's one thing - if you do have a family that wants to do that "morning after brunch - open the gifts" routine - DON'T! That just royally sucked. Neither of us wanted any part of it. We were EXHAUSTED on that Sunday morning. All we wanted to do was stay in bed (for a variety of reasons - mostly to rest). So after a THIRD STRAIGHT DAY of this wedding (the rehearsal dinner was Friday Night, the Wedding Saturday, and the dreaded brunch on Sunday) I was about done with family and friends. The next morning we drove over to Canada, got onto our train with 1st Class Car/Seats for our Toronto destination, and RELAXED. It was great. NOBODY else on the car - except the guy tending the full bar.

I rocked her world that night, the next morning and every day since . That's the only conceivable reason she's still married to me after 23 years.

You're a trip, CQ. Remember, the rest of us are old timers now, you're still young with probably an off the charts libido.
When my wife was your age she wanted to jump my bones every day too. Now I don't have the same spring in my step, but let's just say I can still rise to the occasion.
Btw if 2.5 hours isn't enough for you, I'll pray for your fiance.

With preliminaries and after-aries it isn't difficult for hours to pass.

True. We may be "Push to start" but women are more old engines that need to be warmed up.
Now the real conundrum that think-tanks have been ruminating over for ages. Convincing our spouses to "Kneel for the National Anthem".

Let's be clear too, the 2.5 hours wasn't ALL traditional 'intercourse'. There were several appetizer dishes being served, and we had the main course more than once in that time frame. There were also some breaks. lol

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: If you guys spent as much time Reciprocating as you did "Convincing" ,you wouldn't need to do the "Convincing". 😏

That would be a good reason for me to run for the hills. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good rogering, but lordy, I do not need it that often. My lady parts hurt just thinking about it.

IMO, there's nothing wrong with hanging out on third base for awhile. In fact, I prefer it. After all, a solid triple is harder to get than a home run.

And THAT's one of the many things that keeps me and my husband solid.

In High School my libido was out of control. It's leveled off since then but not really.
