I'm sure it was pitched to the tv bosses as empowering a brown woman into the lead of a tv show. She's smart and funny, we want the silent Wilma to grap the leading role. We'll make the alfabet warriors a part of the show because that's the "right" thing to do. The previous show was white so this is our chance to fix that.

But the person who signed this off or who is part of quality control for that network doesn't deserve a second chance in this business. This truly is one of the most hateful tv shows I've seen. I wonder what kind of people watch this and laugh at the so called jokes. Baffling

This show seems to be intended for children and young adults despite its TV-MA rating. Sure, folks can put parental controls on their devices, but many don't bother with stuff like that. This is the kind of thing that young people end up watching because it's aimed at them and they have loads of free time to watch everything on all the streaming platforms.
