I remember in the late 90's my curiosity got me to telephone a candy bar company and ask if the BR candy bar was not named after this ball player who was it actually named after? They told it was some daughter of a forgotten 19th century US President. The very source told me this! Turns out it was named after the baseball legend after all and they lied to avoid paying him money.
