I love his attention to detail, and his beautiful almost surreal cinematography, but I just have never found any of his movies interesting except for Stalker (1979) but the rest of his movies felt too artsy for me especially Solaris, Andrei Rublev. and Mirror. But I found Stalker just perfect most likely cause I also loved the game Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl which really only references a few things from the movie, which includes, Stalkers, "the zone", and instead of a room that grants wishes, it's a labyrinth that grants wishes.

I am a bit of a fan of his. I'm afraid Stalker just got on my nerves after awhile -- too tedious with little development in it, either plot-wise or character-wise, as I remember. But I loved Mirror. It has this neat, little storybook-ish quality to it, as my memory seems to tell me.
