You got Netflix cornered. I think they will call HC right now to come shoot a few gratuitous scenes. They will tell him it’s to save TW. The show can’t afford to lose almost four thousand viewers. All he has to do is strip down and let it all... hang for a few minutes.

It’s clear Netflix is pouring a lot of effort into The Witcher. How non-stop calls, skipping holiday helped Henry Cavill get lead role in ‘The Witcher’

“I think it was six to seven weeks later, I got a call saying, ‘Would you like to audition for the role?’ And I was on holiday at the time, I canceled my holiday and we all flew into New York and auditioned there. And the rest is history,” he said proudly.

“We met 207 other potential Geralts. And at the end of the day, what we realized is as we continued writing those scripts, I always had Henry’s voice in my head,” she said.

She continued: “We shot for 178 days. That’s a lot of days. And we worked for very long hours, mostly through the night, the rain, the snow. You’re counting on your actor not just to embody the character, which is what Henry does incredibly well. You also count on your actor to be a leader on set, to show up, to set the tone.”

“One of my favorite things about Henry is how seriously he takes the job. He not only shows up prepared, he knows Geralt inside and out, better than I do now. But he also shows up on time, ready to work with a great attitude. And to me that’s all I want at work every day,” she said.

If there’s one thing I learned about Henry Cavill during the fan meet, it’s that he’s incredibly gracious with and generous to his fans. The man spent an hour and half signing autographs, making sure to get to as many of his fans as he could.

In fact, he spent so much time socializing with fans that he had only five minutes onstage for the actual program. Nobody minded though, because he really inched his way through the crowd, reaching for things even his bodyguards had already vetoed, like a huge Superman bust that had to be crowd-surfed to reach him. 

Henry treated his fans with quite the generosity and attention, genuinely connecting with them, smiling at, talking to, joking around and taking selfies. When I asked if I could get a selfie with him, he politely replied, “Of course you can.” Swoon!

When a fan asked, “How are you hanging in there?” He laughed and replied, “How are YOU hanging in there?”

He signed everything from posters to photos to Superman plushies to a tiny Superman LEGO and said yes to as many selfies as he could. Needless to say, he charmed the crowd.

He explained that he chose her over Triss because of the way the game’s story portrayed the relationship between Geralt and Yennefer. He says, “there was love there." And while he thought the relationship with Triss was something “powerful and different,” he felt that Geralt’s heart truly belong to Yennefer -- a sentiment that's sure to leave "Team Yennefer" fans delighted.

Cavil’s choice turned out to be perfect for him. The show plans to follow the storyline of the books over the video games, and as such, Geralt will ultimately end up with Yennefer.
