Discuss Beyoncé

Her music does nothing and I mean nothing for me. How I used to stan her I never know.

I honestly don't understand why she's mostly done boring stuff with Mark Ronson considering the fact that Ronson has made some amazing catchy tunes that have combined many different genres. I just don't think Gaga really is that particularly musically invested.

Shallow is literally iconic already and is beloved. ARUTW is beloved and just a great song all in all.

I said mostly boring but that's subjective, what is not subjective is the fact that they are very traditional songs, with very traditional approach to songwriting and production. There isn't a whole a lot of experimenting going on. One can use acoustic sound and add layers of beats or even synths or even take a folk song and turn into something special but that doesn't seem like something Gaga wants to do. It's all very black and white with her.

It sounds a bit like the sequel to Ariana's "Be Alright" just with some more layers. It's not bad like Stupid Love but it's not a game-changer either.

I was thinking the same thing, and that was one of my favorite tracks on the album.

Both the song and video is better than Stupid Love. It's catchy, it obviously has a lot of commercial potential and is perfect for radio. It isn't the out-of-the-gate pop perfection I expected but she could've done much worse.

She needs to give the Shallow and ASIB audience something. They are waiting for something more in line with ARUTW so hopefully those rumored ASIB-esque songs are also on the album.

I’m not even looking for the shallow or ASIB. She made it clear this would be a dance record. I’m just waiting for a song that isn’t mediocre or completely generic. I have hope for Babylon, but if these first 2 singles are highlights of the album...

I just wonder what happened to Lady GaGa. All of her pop eras just don’t feel that right anymore

She hasn’t released a fantastic album since “Born this way l”. It’s been either generic or mediocre since.

You have to go deep & hard into the album to find a few gems. She just seems lost & all over the place musically. Also a lot of music hasn’t age well at all!!

I love drag race!

Ari and Gaga look like they're having a great time in the video, but the music is mediocore for artists of their calibre. I guess you could describe it as a bit of a "bop", but it's not something you would expect from a single.

It’s crazy that Whitney’s I Wanna Dance With Somebody doesn’t sound as dated as this song despite being released 32 years earlier.
