Will Rain On Me smash?

Gaga is huge on HAC right now (ever since ASIB smashed), Stupid Love went Top 10 on that format and she is highly respected by the GP aka. they think she's talented and she's obviously super famous.
Ariana is the biggest streaming force out there, she's adored by the younger demo and is much stronger in streaming than Gaga but Gaga is much stronger in pure sales than Ariana. So... it's a perfect combo.
I don't think we've had a collaboration by two females that are THIS famous in quite some time, so this might be a MOMENT.
I know a lot of people are looking at Ari's last collabs (even with Bieber) as comparison because they didn't do that well but fact is they either featured someone who the GP didn't care about anymore (Miley Cyrus or Nicki Minaj) or they featured someone who's in the same ballpark as her therefore not going outside of that specific demo (the Bieber collab).
Rain On Me is a perfect combination. Ari with streaming, Gaga with pure sales. Gaga with the 25+ age demo, Ari with the teens and twenty somethings. Gaga with the HAC and pop format, Ariana with the pop and Top 40 format. I mean... how can this flop? Literally the ONLY thing that could kill this song is if it's bad and disliked by the GP.
The first week will be interesting to watch as both Gaga's and Ariana's recent solo singles both debuted in the Top 5. So COMBINING them... could it debut at #1?

Like i said one more insult then you can consider this over.
You can have your opinion & I’d have mine but i have seen plenty of pop forums mentioning Ariana over Gaga regarding the song. Even Ariana has been hyping the song for “months”. Interesting how Gaga music always have to be hyped up before released hmmmm.
Mentioning other Ariana features is really irrelevant but if you must some of them songs were never sent to radio, some didn’t get hyped up for months by Ariana, some didn’t even get a performance 💀. Every song has its own circumstance and i actually like Ariana. I didn’t know few of them songs were even released 💀.
Gaga got extremely lucky with the soundtrack. I would love to see what her next era will be like.
Ariana is bigger than Gaga. Period! If Gaga had “Rain on me featuring Brandy Norwood OR Meghan Trainor. You think anyone would care? Lmfao.

Didn't even get a performance? Stupid Love didn't either but thanks for telling us why it didn't smash. Not you using other excuses as to why her songs didn't smash than when Gaga's don't
You think if Katy Perry featuring Ariana Grande - Rain On Me would be released that it would have more hype than LADY freaking GAGA? It would BOMB like Don't Call Me Angel lmfao.
Gaga is still big PERIOD. You'd think you constantly stanning flops would give you some sort of idea what relevancy looks like but guess it doesn't

If Gaga's bundles means she doesn't have the GP's interest than that means Taylor Swift or Harry Styles don't either. Everyone uses bundles, this is just some lousy excuse you're TRYING.

I said many other choices outside of just performances interesting how you only picked that. I already said Ariana can’t save everything so this is a not relevant & at the end of the day them features aren’t Ariana song while stupid love is Gaga’s......
So are you saying Gaga needs performances to get hits or have longevity on the charts? Weren’t you saying it was doing well on radio? What happened? lol
Why are you mentioning Katy? Answer the Question do you think if Gaga did this song with Brandy or Meghan that anyone would care?

It will debut in the Top 10 because Ariana. SL only debuted Top 5 due to all the bundles and physical vinyls she sold, so she might pull that as well for a quick peak but if what I heard from the leak is what the song sounds like then it will bomb afterwards like Stupid Love. Dated dance music just doesn't work in 2020. It'll probably last longer than 9 weeks though since Ariana's attached but then again her track record with collabs are also bad so who knows. But smash? No.
