Considering that the Weeknd's music is everywhere - shouldn't his album be doing better?

The amount of hype and airplay he is getting, his sales (units) aren't that huge looking at mediatraffic for example. Considering how established he is and a huge fanbase I would think he would be doing much better than he is currently doing.
I don't get the hoopla though over this guy though.

1.37M worldwide so far. He'll probably pull out 3M once the era is done.
Dua only at 578k is a shock.

Well, a #1 in the UK is like what, 30-50k? Without selling big in the US of course her total will be low.

Her weekly numbers are more consistent than his. She is closing in on him in week numbers, which is quite shocking as she is not receiving as much as airplay as him and her fanbase is not close as being as big.

Future Nostalgia was released at the end of March, and is currently sitting at #1 in the UK album charts. Don't Start Now is also still in the charts over 6 months later (both US and UK).
Ease up on the negativity.
